A lot of the time, I think we need a therapist that is going to say "dude what the fuck do you think that was a good decision"

They can't all be winners. ...it would be nice if as couple more were, but i don't get to choose that

If you find that useless, it may not be for you. But a lot of us benefit from being able to talk through what is ailing us, with the benefit of someone who can recognize darker thought patterns. Gardening helped me a lot with it, too. I can feed and water the plants all I like, but I can't force them to bloom. They have to choose to do it.

I can't diagree, becuase I've been through 3 therapists now and they've all done basically the same as you desribed. They're not great and still... figuring out how to do their best, let's say. But the abject goal of therapy is to help you find the solutions you need, not to try to give you solutions. It's more about accepting the solutions you can have, and understanding which ones you cannot.

A therapist isn't going to solve your problems, they just help you find the solutions.

The only reason these insults work is because there's a part of you that believes it, too You gotta get over this, because it's only the reaction that makes this work.

You're looking at examples of the worst over and over again and convincing yourself that's what the world is I promise you, it is not that bad out there. While there is some poor things going on, there has never been a time that poor things weren't going on. Having some feminist scream at you is easy to walk away from.

I said that Male logic can sometimes be funny. That wasn't even my disagreement with the OP - that was me commenting on another poster's similar experience in an all male workplace. Stating that Male logic can be flawed isn't throwing all men under the bus. That's just stating that sometimes men can be odd. Women can be funny, too. This is still not trolling. How is this more offensive than OP stating all women are illogical, and he hates being around them?

Why is it not trolling when OP claims it, but it is when I do? Nothing I've written is deliberately offensive. OP posted, and I disagreed.

Men often do rationalize their actions as logical, though. This is a trait usually demonstrated by men, and there's generally a social pressure for males to act "logical." It's Asshole logic, no doubt, too. But I don't often have women excuse their actions by saying "well it was the logical thing to do," and i definitely don't hear it as much from women. This entire thread was dedicated to how OP doesn't like women because they don't "use logic" and how OP "thinks logically"

I'm trolling by sharing my own experience? Could you shed any amount of light as to why you believe that? Genuinely curious

Ahhh, don't you love male logic sometimes? IM GONNA FUCKIN KILL YOU BRO YOU DELAYED MY SHIPMENT actual quote from a glass factory I worked at, no females in sight Dude was always VERY aggressive about how logical and rational he was at all times. He rationalized that his outburst was a good thing because it helped get his shipment on time, and then said "logically I did the smart move"

I'm just gonna throw in that no i definitely do not get exhausted. Relationship for 6 years, and I'm always happy to be around her. I think you've just been meeting people that are exhausting. As a side note- Saying you act logically is a bit of a fallacy. You act emotionally too, but it's generally accepted that men will rationalize their actions as "logical"

Illegal and immoral are not the same thing. You can absolutely lose your career over non - illegal things. Messaging underaged girls online creepy things is one of the "job losing" things to do.
