Well if I’m being honest, a large percentage of instances of pedophilia and such are the results of previous abuse, it’s a cycle really. But I agree with you because they aren’t consistent with that, they portray male on female abuse as the abuser being evil or an outright psychopath, and on the rare occasion that female abuse is depicted, they do normally try to justify it as the result of trauma that is true.
