Where is this that teachers are threatening to cut a student's hair? Where I live, the teachers are prevented from doing almost any type of meaningful discipline--let alone unilaterally cutting a student's hair. I have some skepticism here.

The best way to deal with someone pushing your buttons is to not have buttons, AKA NGAF--as many have said here. Or, more accurately, know that these buttons are an issue for you and have a plan in place to deal with someone who is pushing them. Know that there are going to be times when those buttons are pushed, and there is nothing you can do about it. You also cannot stop the thoughts that go along with it. You CAN change the way you react to those thoughts and feelings. There is plenty of ma…

My ex was also very shady (and I think that is the proper word) with her phone. She would never leave it anywhere; it was always in her hand or pocket. When she looked at her phone she positioned herself in such a way that it was obvious that she didn't want me to see. If she needed help with something on the phone that I could provide, she would hover over me in an obvious attempt to make sure that I didn't venture anywhere I was supposed to go. My current LTR have an agreement that we can go t…

Do you live with her? You have to go hard next with no contact on this one. The more you confront or get closure, the more chances you give her to trickle truth you or wiggle back in.

I have to agree with this one. I have noticed the difference in the way my ex acted with her phone and the way my current LTR does it. It put a lot of things in perspective for me.

I think you realize this, but in the interest of clarity: my comment is about adoption through an agency, DSS, etc. The scenario you are talking about is essentially the same as dating/marrying a single mom, except by adopting you gain legal rights. Now could this be a case where the dad really was a deadbeat and left and the mom is not just trying to secure a provider for her child? Sure. But really you have to play the odds and think objectively about this one. Think about the term "relationsh…

Upvote for the adoption suggestion. While that is technically raising another man's child, it is quite a different scenario than dating a single mother/being a cuckold. The mother and the child were not together before you, so you are not entering as a third party. The child will view you as a parent and not the person that is keeping his "real" parents from being together. This is a decision that you and the adoptive mother make, so while it is not qualitatively the same thing as her having you…

I remember that study when it came out. I think the takeaway should be that men are relying on that "choreplay" to build all the attraction they need, and they don't do anything else. My wife and I both work, so I help with some of the housework because it's the only way it can all get done. But I don't have any illusions that say that will get me laid.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
