I will say that it’s a can of worms. I know a lot more about myself now - including why she was the ideal woman for me. I don’t think we can ever get back the hope we had going into the marriage though. Radical acceptance and not bitterness can be difficult and heartbreaking in its own way.

Similar divorce and EMDR helped me a ton. Unfortunately, I imprinted on someone who broke my heart almost as bad afterwards - but I can’t recommend it enough. I married my ideal woman, and I barely think about her now - I only see the hole she left.

I’ve had a lot of success with EMDR. It’s hard as hell, but it’s definitely turned the volume down.

I’ve got to run pick my kid up - so I’ll let you google that. I chimed in to say I got hooked up with my therapist through the suicide hotline, and I’m on financial assistance to do it. I know it’s hard, I know it seems impossible, but it is workable. Stay strong, man.

Hey man - I’ve been there, and if you can get into a therapist that’ll do EDMR with you - it may change your life. Good luck.

The issue becomes finding money for the new lawyer - but fair statement. I’ll run at it anew on Monday.

Yeah, since right before Thanksgiving. I’m kind of past benefit of the doubt - I just don’t know what kind of recourse I have here.

I have, and through various methods of communication.

She did at least - no contact from her either. It’s been nearly a month and my court date is Jan 8th. Just don’t know what my recourse is if I don’t hear anything back.

I have. She’s just one person, but is supposed to have staff.

In the thick of something so similar right now. Let me suggest finding the money for a lawyer right now. Sometimes you can use a credit card, or maybe you can borrow the money? I wish I would have gotten one sooner - still very much in the beginning stages now - but it was the only thing that stopped her personal abuse and most importantly, the slander. People I’ve known more than a decade are just gone now, and that becomes more devastating than the marriage in a lot of ways. There’s things I w…

Going through similar for about a month now. Finally talked to a lawyer today. Make sure you’re eating - that’ll help the bad thoughts. Hang in there man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
