12	Anyone noticed nowadays there's barely any good representation of short men in Western media? And I feel like it's only gonna get worse. i would say Dwarves (and Gimli by extension) behave more like 'big folk' as tolkien puts it. dwarves and elves are respected opponents, and interact with goblins / men and so on. Dwarves are essentially mystical powerful creatures, inhabiting and contesting power like any of the big folk. They happen to be small in stature, but that is a surface level thing - big quests, big kingdoms, big wars, big riches, etc. Hobbits in contrast are little folk, in stature, but more importantly in character. 8	Circumcision by Country 2024 yes, but it is (rightly so) labelled as genital mutilation, and the consensus is its a massive violation of human rights /woman's rights / etc. if you google male vs female (which is obviously a terrible but also reasonable way to guesstimate cultural acceptability of something).
