experienced dad here. Much of what you say is absolutely true. However mother's intuition is very real especially with newborns and infants. If you doubt this its because you haven't experienced it. After about age 2 discipline and logic take over, which is where men shine.

Don't argue. Ever. Regarding this circumstance, you've said your piece. Move on. Act as if everything is in control, cause it is. Resume normal fun, stoic posture. If she says something about being mad, just say "I know, sugar plume." Then go about your day. Make sure shit is under control, then act like it. That right there is as alpha as it gets.

I was transitioning from loser to man when my wife pulled something similar. I called her out, weakly. She folded but insisted she needed more "her" time. It stung a little. After a couple days I got over it. She makes some plans asks if I care. I don't and gave her an ass slap on the way out. Previously I would have asked a bunch of questions and moped like a loser. Instead, I ignored her and went to have some fun, making sure I got home after her. I do this every single time she has "her" time…

Tell her "he's single, good luck" while holding a shit-eating grin.

Your situation sounds familiar. You're doing well but add the following. Be happy. Nothing she says, does or doesn't do can negatively affect your mood. Ever. Same for the kids. Shut your mouth. Never tell her you need anything ever again, especially sex. You have to change your outlook. The missing physical contact is a function of your behavior. Fix this and the sex will return. In the meantime, just pretend sex is off the table or that you just don't care anymore. Shut your mouth. Just smile …

Well stated. I struggled w holding frame and fully believing TRP would work. That is until the day I had a mid twenties 9 all but throw herself at me. Boom. Haven't broke frame since and my marriage hasn't been better. More importantly, I just don't care. I'm good to be happy, healthy, successful regardless.

Similar situation for me. Take it slow overall. Reprogramming oneself is a lengthy process. I struggled w frame and outcome indifference. I found a groove eventually and I'm unshakable now. Follow these steps. Shut your mouth. The less you say the better. When in doubt, shut up. Don't verbally respond to bitchyness. Ever. Some will tell you to reprimand her. Whatever. A sly confident smirk and a pat on the ass is the quickest way to quell the bitch. Don't complain to her ever. When it gets tough…

Great read. A nice change over all the AFBB and blue pill example nonsense that has recently flooded this sub. We're here to improve, not point and laugh.

My experience too. Used to treat my wife as a friend and share my struggles. I stopped that shit several months ago and things are a lot better. I listen to her ails but I share mine elsewhere, if at all. Funny thing is she never asks more than a courtesy "how was your day?" If you respond in more than one or two words, you're doing it wrong.

Here's what I did. 1. Don't give a fuck. I always try to do the right thing as a married man and father but otherwise, I just don't care. 2. I decided to just talk to damn near every person I see that interests me. In doing so, wife knows I'm outgoing. Flirting w the waitress, no problem cause I talk to everyone. Dread kicks in when the cute young waitress laughs at my stupid jokes and shows IOIs. Boom. Effective dread. But here's the most important part: don't do this because you want to dread …

How about a simple "lol"? Or, even better, send her a pic of birthday cat w no words, credit to Rollo.

Dude, I've heard all of this too. Thing is, I think she's telling the truth. I did what you did, supplication. We went to couples therapy together and separately. She quit going but I continued. I got some good insight from the therapist and I'm certain that the story she told me and the therapist is true. I wanted to know why she felt this way. So I started digging. She's not cheating, best I can tell. So maybe she just changed, right? Well the reality is I got comfy and needy via supplication.…

Love this post. I'm in a LTR and a recovering beta. This stuff works but maintaining frame consistently without beta back slides is the hard part. Every significant back slide is like restarting the relationship reframe. I read posts like this routinely just to keep the momentum building. Definitely a sticky worthy link.

A lot of awesome advice here. I'm in a tough situation too, though not as dire and on the mend. Swallowing the red pill is different for a married guy w kids. Keep that in mind when getting advice here. Be prepared for this: swallowing the red pill hurts in a lot of ways. You're gonna learn some shit about yourself that you hate. You're gonna be confused and lost at times. You're gonna take steps backwards and your gonna mess some stuff up along your path. You've got a lot of shit to clean up. P…

Been there, tried that in my blue pill days. Doesn't work. Man up and tell her what you want and/or communicate physically what you want.
