Usually you have to leave the defendant with some minimum. So if she ever makes huge income it's possible. But there's probably not going to be any huge income above the minimum to which she is entitled to shield against the enforcement of the judgment.

Usually there is a way to privately prosecute crimes (in places stemming from english common law). It's surprisingly rare. In my jurisdiction it's only happened successfully like 4 times. Not sure about here.

What's to stop someone from observing the trial and publishing a story about it? Interfering with the press is probably overall making things worse. We mustnt ban the publication of anything. I think the only solution is for media to decide themselves to not publish accusations. There is one other solution: people could stop being so fucking stupid as to mentally convict based on allegations/testimony. But honestly I don't see humans making that much intellectual progress for centuries.

Well that's a good intuition because I 80% pulled it out of my ass as a generalisation and 20% took it from knowing economics better than most. Let me rephrase in a way that is less not true: The US military could accomplish national defense and humanitarian aid for less than 50% of what it spends now. The ONLY sane argument for keeping spending so high is to keep people employed and keep related industries rolling.

All militaries except the US are 100% a public stimulus project designed to take tax money from the wealthy and give it to the less wealthy. It is just a means of redistribution. The US is an exception and has to be effective so it is 50% redistribution and 50% real.
