The first patent for frequency hopping came out 40 years before and it was widely understood globally, however no one could make it work reliably, including Lamarr. Nearly all of the history about her invention comes from her autobiography and interviews with her. Her and Antheil's lawyers tried to sue the Navy for not paying them for the invention.
