This is the best answer. It doesn't dismiss the fact that as a society, we do need better education on this for everyone's sake. It also makes the point while showing some common ground with the friend, which can be helpful for having a conversation where people actually consider what the other person is saying.

Do you mean “Please, Please, Please” by Sabrina Carpenter? There doesn’t seem to be a Selena Gomez song with that name. If you do mean the Sabrina Carpenter song, I’d be curious to know what makes the song seem misandrist to you.

I'm not sure where you're getting "misandry in the LGBT community" from this comment. In case it wasn't clear, Disastrous_Average91 was saying that he is an openly trans man who witnessed this in his class. He was not saying that he saw a trans man making misandrist comments.

This would make people far less likely to confess to their false accusations, meaning that a higher proportion of innocent people would never have their names cleared.

I've seen both this situation and the reverse. Not sure why a comic showing this situation is being viewed as misandry; it's definitely happened.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
