It is well known that taking pharmaceutical hormone therapy increases cardiovascular risks. In women especially, they are advised to minimize or avoid hormone replacement after 5 years if possible, such as once menopausal. I envision many of the M to F people in nursing homes because of strokes from a lifetime of estrogen use not governed by the body’s regulatory feedback systems.
