I completely agree. If feminists want genuine workplace equality, why are they not encouraging females to enter almost entirely male industries like coal mining or Alaskan crab fishing? Because those jobs are hard, dangerous, and not glamorous.

It's funny you mention it; because I was just thinking the same thing at my internship this week. All the young guys, including myself, wear dress shirt/polo and khakis with dress shoes. The young women really do wear whatever they want: jeans, skirts, whatever, along with those flimsy thin slipper shoes.

While it is true that one classroom cannot tell the fate of all universities, it is also true that statistically females hold the majority on average in universities in the US, both in public and private schools (usually a 40-60, male-to-female). Just another reason I cannot understand why feminists/females still complain about women being "blocked" or "hindered" from education. I am really quite baffled at the blatant double standard of so many feminists. Since she broke the law, she shouldn't have to answer the consequences because she's crying? And a crying female is more to be pitied than a crying male? What makes a crying female more special than a crying male? When you beak it down, as with all other feminists logic, it just doesn't make sense.

The author argues that it is only due to stereotypes that men are promoted more to managerial positions than women. However, most successful men have to live up to said stereotypes, if they even exist. If they don't fit the stereotype, they do not succeed. So such men are not longer a stereotype of a good leader, they are good leaders. So her point is....?

I'd say, if you asked her out to prom, then pay for her ticket. If you really like this girl, there's absolutely nothing "wrong" paying for her ticket. It is the nice thing to do. If you really can't afford it, then be honest with her. Perhaps she can pay half the ticket price. But don't think that paying for her ticket is pushing you or her into some mold where you are the "breadwinner" and she is the "housewife." It's just prom, dude; don't over think it.
