This sub is making me upset. I hate the pussy pass but I also hate this knee-jerk bullshit in response to women not getting absolutely fucked by the law.

Such vagina leeway. Goddamn this sub has always been a cj but this is getting ridiculous. People rarely receive the maximum sentence for crimes, period. Not to mention the man's own choices played a role in his and his daughter's demises. Fucking vitriol man.

This isn't pussy pass at all. I would hope a man in the same situation wouldn't have his life completely ruined by the law. I'm sure the guilt is crippling enough as is.

Except when it unanimously reacts one way because it suits the narrative you're intent sustaining, right? And when you don't like evidence to the contrary you just dismiss it as "not mattering." Would You prefer I phrased it as reacted unanimously in one of two ways? Outrage or no reaction? I'm confused what your evidence to the contrary is. That slut shaming exists in the media? Talk radio does that shit all the time. You have yet to show me why it matters. If you had made a strong argument, I …

Okay. Do you have any positions to defend other than "no, it's not always like that"? Considering that's frequently the (valid) defense of those in opposition to TRP I don't see what's wrong with that. Slut shaming is a non-issue. Not to say it doesn't exist, it just doesn't matter. It can happen to anyone because people often suck. Most people don't engage in it for the most part. What type of oppression isn't systematic? "The system" is not a uniform entity. Looking at pockets of it, you'll fi…

Because it's easier for average women to have sex than it is for the average man to have sex. This is just reality. It's been this way as long as woken have had any semblance of sexual freedom. Ass That doesn't make them more deserving of shame, it makes them more likely to get shamed.

Gonna have to elaborate. Our culture churns and clashes, so the media clashes as well.

FOX is the largest broadcasting company in the United States. During Primetime this Wednesday, FOX News had over 2.2 million viewers, compared to CNN's 500,000 and MSNBC's 750,000. CNN and MSNBC don't have the viewership FOX has even when combined. There's also CBS and ABC, which are more centered than either but still lean left. Fox's viewers are isolated and/or dying off. Plus, most left leaning people don't get their news from cable. Okay, so since FOX has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC comb…

Was I wrong? Isn't getting laid what TRP is about? Yes and no, respectively. At least, that's what they claim. But that is frequently what it boils down to. Trust me, if the worst problem in your life is that you can't get laid, you have a ridiculously privileged life. Correct in most cases You just have no concept of what it is like to be discriminated against. Incorrect in many cases "Systematic oppression" isn't the only form of oppression. And whether or not "systematic oppression" exists is…

It's not a nitpick. They flat out DID NOT respond to Rush's comment. They didn't even try. It is; they're a minority in the media, and they were caught between a rock and a hard place. Since when have they given a shit about anyone else? They've never cared. Sure they have. They try to avoid alienating their own, something that would have happened to some extent. The media isn't representative of our culture as a whole. The media, as a whole, is quite representative of our culture, as a whole. I…

Oh, you were taking that side all the way! Consolidate your shit. No it wasn't. The conservative media kept really quiet about the whole situation; that's a way of responding. Nitpick. They didn't want to be on the wrong side. If they lashed out at Rush, they get flak from the right. If they took his side, they get flak from everyone else. And I'm sorry to tell you this, but the media's reaction is only representative of the media's reaction. Most people aren't part of the media. The media gives…

all about the man once more Holy shit. Even when you're talking trash towards men, you're enforcing the patriarchy. Rush was slut shaming, sure, but the unanimous media reaction was outrage towards him and his comments. You can hardly say slut shaming is a national issue with that kind of response. Minus the religious right, the vast majority of people disagreed with Rush's words. Fluke was a victim of douchebaggery—and that's all slut shaming is. It isn't sexism, as Rush would react similarly i…

Very true. I'm also on team mud, and making myself presentable is a pain in the ass. I can only imagine how shitty the addition of makeup must be. Then again, I like being presentable so it's hard to tell if I'm making a sacrifice for myself or others, by proxy.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/14 10:40 PM
1

I could see how that would be necessary. I've probably even done it. But I like to think that the things I've incorporated into myself were because I wanted them, rather than doing so because I thought someone else wanted me to have those traits.

I don't dispute any of this, society lies to its youth, period! Except... the "just be yourself!" mantra, is quite useless when it comes to dating. However, on the flip side it is good advice for making platonic friends. I aim to "filter myself," but not but not separate entirely from who I am. Then you can gradually remove the filter depending on how things go. Maybe I'm too optimistic or naive but it has worked well in the past.

Yes, pop culture. You're only reinforcing my point: these very agreeable, very average dudes score wonderful, hot women by just being themselves, a piece of advice TRP hates as they think it's crap. At least, I think. Haven't seen a lot of those.

I totally agree that her statement indicates that she was settling on him (and that he or she should eject immediately, sounds like a shitty relationship). But is this necessarily the case? Does TRP not acknowledge the possibility that people change? Her nature as a person doesn't even have to change for her love to be legitimate--just her tastes in men. Quick edit: and by tastes, I mean traits besides the whole "alpha fux, beta bux" transition Is hypergamy really an unbreakable rule? Or a rule …

You're missing the point, I seriously doubt shark experts feel anger towards the sharks. Nah dude, you're missing the point. Looking back I could have phrased that comment better. But that's a reversal of what I was saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/14 08:33 AM

They (justifiably, IMO) largely blame popular culture, which has been influenced greatly by feminism, for drastically misrepresenting relationships and gender dynamics. Of course, it's pretty easy to just get the hell over it.

What do they mean now? Is it still essentially leader (of at least your own life) vs. follower? That always seemed like a legitimate distinction to me.

I feel that's true for both genders (which is prefect because I can't find any conclusive indication of your gender lol). The best sex I have is when the girl and I leverage sex against one another. The level of sexual desire is usually in flux in both genders and that way you maintain interest by playing hard to get when it's appropriate.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/14 04:07 PM
3

Maybe it's early and my mind is elsewhere, but I have no clue what point you're making. That my analogy isn't perfect? That's the nature of analogies. Shark experts more generally advise not swimming in unknown waters, not "be careful when you're swimming with man eating creatures!"
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/14 03:57 PM

I dispute none of that, but your thinking is fallacious if you think those guys necessarily were involved in any of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/14 03:51 PM

Off topic, but I really like the matter-of-fact way TRP talks about the promiscuity of women, which I think is often downplayed elsewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/14 03:39 PM

Agreed. It's like when shark experts tell you not to blame the sharks for shark attacks. Intellectually, most non-experts may agree, but they still feel fear and anger towards sharks.

What TRP claims to do and what TRP actually does are two totally different things.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/14 03:16 PM

I think he may be on to something in suggesting that TRP makes men feel shitty overall. When I first got into gender dynamics, I read purely redpill stuff and took it all to be true with little convincing. And boy, did I just feel angry. That being said, I think TRP places the blame for their pain pretty squarely on the shoulders of women. I may have felt occasional guilt for not being alpha enough or some bullshit, but there was always a lot of "you're still learning!" support for that.

Your language suggests that you're assuming that I am blue pill, which is ironic. Stick to your guns as much as you like. cognitive science Is the shit, because it's largely based on neuroscience. I also don't see it referenced much, though. neuroscience concerns itself more with its workings now than how the workings came about. Exactly; neuroscience and evopsych are extremely compatible.

The be-all end-all of psychology is neuroscience. That is: psychology is just effective theory for neurological phenomenon that we cannot yet model with out current knowledge and technology. That being said, evopsych is the most closely linked field of psych to neuroscience. (Though cognitive and schema theories definitely come close, too.) Oh my god, no. I scoffed like three words in. I don't blame her for being groped. If someone started being punched in a movie theater and didn't do anything about it, it's not (necessarily) their fault for being punched, but they sure as hell can take steps to avoid being punched, if not the first time then any following times. I call that emotional stupidity. No one in their right mind would be upset with her for moving away from that guy and yelling something along the lines of "stop touching me!" Maybe she feels that way because she thinks she should have done more. She should have moved further away and yelled at him. Well stop thinking that. That sounds like a symptom of depression, not of so called rape culture. Maybe she's thinking exactly what you're thinking: it's her fault. I don't think it's her fault that s…

I would argue both don't exist. Your claim was that if culture contributes to x then we have x culture. I meant "she's asking for it" as it's frequently used, and was used here: to justify groping a girl before actually considering whether the girl wants to be touched by you. I only meant to claim she provoked it, which isn't at all the same as "asking for it." Behaving like a slut may indicate that you want some cock, but it's a generalized message. Fuck that. Consent, however passive and unspoken, is still required if you are to be considered a decent human being. These men knew she didn't want her fucking titties squeezed by the likes of them. Or they should have, at least. This isn't to say "consent" in the legal sense isn't abused by the feminist crowd but FUCK the whole she's asking for it so I'm going to violate her will thing. It gives men and TRP a bad name.

Wait...was that girl raped? Like 100%? One way or another, that whole thing seems a little fucked up.
