Yea I think this book could be good, this is from the 'reading well' scheme that NHS England runs, its purpose is to identify and list helpful and accurate self help books. All books on this website have been checked by health professionals. The book I linked to is a book about CBT in general, you can also find books that use CBT for certain mental health conditions. There's books on mindfulness and conditions like dementia etc as well if you find any of that interesting.

What you're describing is used as a tool in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, among others, called positive self talk and can be used for a variety of situations where your negative automatic thoughts are not helpful. So good job OP i'm sure people will get use out of this.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
