I'm not OP, but what you said is exactly one of things that is going on in my relationship with my SO. She had walls, and she felt like I destroyed them. It felt great for quite some times (3years) but now, it seems like something is off. Anyway! Will investigate on it, and on your Brene Brown! Thanks again

Thanks for putting the effort to sum all of that up. As a foreigner, well written comments like this are delicious

I guess that this persons smokes. And going out with a non-smoker is not usually practical/pleasant for the other one

No you are not. You are doing the right exercise, compared to a situation where you would mimics the result of said exercise.

Once it feels natural, how is it not real confidence? Because it comes from a trick you practiced. If you are truly confident, looking in the eyes is normal and already natural Then I guess that I misread TRP

Yes, looking better can definitely help you feel more confident. I wasn't arguing on that. I was referring to mental schemes that TRP uses to get more girls/sex. Things like forced eye contact, forced brief physical interaction, talking less than minimum, trying to condition a girl like you would with a dog.. All of those 'advices' and 'tricks' to make you look more alpha, or powerful. This is fake confidence. Yes truly becoming more confident is possible, but it should not come from exterior …

Building a better body doesn't fall into that 'fake' category. When talking about personality, I meant trying to act like someone who is more confident when deep inside you are not.

You're right. Several things may 'ruin' the encounter, while masturbating is the safe option.

I would not call subscribing to TRP a way to get better with yourself. It's only going to make you build a fake personality that is hard to maintain, you're going to calculate all the time how to react instead of just living and experiencing things, and you're going to be stressed as hell. But that's just my opinion. If people are truly and fully 'happy' cultivating that TRP mentality, good for them.

There is no incentive per say to get laid, but the reward and the pleasure that you get from a real encounter tops the one you get from masturbating. Sure the effort/ratio reward is lower, but it's something 'different'. It's like the difference between doing home-stationary-bike, and real bike in the woods. Of course you'll get the same dopamine-high from your muscles afterwards, but the experience in itself is more pleasurable

They have a easier time, but that doesn't mean that they want it. It's not because you can choose between red blue pruple and green tie, that you even want a tie in the first place. Woman have always been in the selection logic, while man on the demonstrative logic. If a girl is pregnant, she is for 9 month. The dude? He can just make pregnant whoever the fuck he wants and still be 'free'. That's the logic that were in our brain since condoms. And if you compare how old humans are compared to …

That's what she said. They have more "chance", but that doesn't mean that the interest is based on his personality or phisical appearance

You should google "legalizing prostitution", and you'll find counter arguments to your theory

Well, there are tons of racist subreddit like /r/CoonTown In your logic, they should be removed too But as someone else said, banning them from reddit won't change much. There are already tons of website in the same tone as TRP

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
