as a man whos father didn't want to have any custardy and whose mother had to fight to get him to visit us at all i can only go by my own experience on this. i don't think there is a feminist reason behind this, there genuinely seems to be a lot of men that don't want anything to do with their children.

that sounds more like you're imposing heterosexual ideas on peoples relationships when none may exist. its like asking "whos the man/woman in the relationship" it's a pointless question because they're both the same. as a gay man myself and with lots of lesbian and gay couple friends i can't think of a single couple that have any resemblance to heterosexual gender roles. i think you're seeing what you want to see based on your own expectations.

i work for a card payment processing company (biggest in europe but also operates in the US and around the world) and i had to make an infographic showing the difference in spend between mothers day and fathers day based on our transaction data and mothers day wins by a country mile in terms of spend. if anyone is interested in the stats i'll post the infographic. but essentially in the uk 79% of brits spend more on mothers day than fathers day, with flower sales 42% higher than valentines day.

whats with the red cup? i thought the drink spiking thing was mostly with alcohol, shouldn't it be a glass or a bottle or something. i've only ever seen plastic cups at bbq's, sporting events, childrens parties and village fėtes, i hardly think theres a risk of drink spiking at those sort of things.

i'm a gay man but i clean the house if i'm expecting someone over for sex or whatever because i don't like the idea of people thinking i live in a hovel. to be fair i clean when anyone comes over, maybe not as quick but i still do, it's about being presentable for guests.

Doesn't cover my dad, who had an affair and abandoned us to start another family and has never bothered to even telephone despite living only 15 mins away. when my parents got divorced my mum had to fight to get him to even see us every other fortnight till he couldn't be bothered anymore. some people are just wankers though.

can't say i've ever seen anything like this in text books, we did a module on the womens suffrage movement and a bit about the womens land army during the first and second world wars but that was it. i'm from the UK though so we have quite a lot of history to cover anyway.

great news if the parents actually want contact, my dad never made the effort to. he had an affair when i was 6 and left myself, mum and sister for another woman and started another family with her. currently he only lives 15 mins drive away but hasn't bothered to get in contact for 8 years, not so much as a birthday card. men who actually care about their children should get access, but not all parents male or female are bothered.

to be honest i don't really like children and i'm gay anyway so it would be a hassle. i'm there for my niece and nephew though, however they're older now, my niece is starting uni soon, but my nephew is 13 and he seems to love everything im into so i often lend him comic books, dvds, and i often give him stuff like my old warhammer 40k chaos army, and a signed copy of watchmen. my niece is into photography so i was able to help her out when i worked for Canon.

mines an 03 plate to but mines a 2.0 litre diesel, i have no points but i did get it about a month after i passed my test. i live in lincolnshire, when i was looking for cars the cheapest i found to ensure was a 2004 ford ka 1 litre and that was 1400 quid to insure.

i'm 23 but got may first car in november, when searching for a car i couldn't find one that i would pay less than 1400 for on insurance, i looked at pretty much every brand, model, car age etc. in the end i got a vauxhal vectra and pay 2200, luckily i can afford it as i have a good job, still ridiculous though, i figured, either way i'm going to be paying a fortune.
