Yep. Kicking a man in the balls should be treated as sexual assault. Because that’s what it is. It’s hitting a man in his genital area knowing how sensitive and intimate that part of his body is. But women get away with it because they’re the eternal victims.

That’s the least Christian thing I’ve read for a while. You’re probably a troll. Bye.

I don't think Jesus needs any favours from me. If you love me, then pray for me.

I actually haven’t said anything in this thread regarding what I believe…I think you’re projecting onto me a lot of your prejudices towards other people who are gay.

Leviticus is from the Old Covenant. Christians do no follow every law in the Torah.

It’s a little sad to see the downvotes though…I’m really sorry but an honest reading of the Bible requires genuine inquiry, research into the meaning behind words in the original language, and asking for guidance from the Holy Spirit. It seems many people on here are as guilty of interpreting the Bible as they want it to mean as many “liberal Christians” are.

https://biblehub.com/text/jude/1-7.htm “Strange” in “strange flesh” is from the Greek word “Heteras,” meaning “other.” Not really the word you expect for referring to homosexual lust…

Ezekiel 16:49-50 49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

Thank you for your response and for that link. I’m gay, but not a “gay Christian” any more than I’m a “male Christian” or “dark-haired Christian.” I have same sex attraction and have never been attracted neither romantically nor physically to anyone of the opposite sex. This attraction is something that I remember starting from when I was very young and had no idea what sexuality or romance were. That’s what I mean by being “gay.” I personally do not believe that my attraction is a consciously s…

I agree totally. I find men attractive, including some of my friends. But I don’t act on it and I continue to respect them and I remind myself that to lust after flesh that does not belong to a covenant partner is a sin.

It is extremely strange when I see someone think that sexual attraction is a choice. It almost sounds like they’re willing themselves to be attracted to their own wives, which is quite the insult!

I agree with you that there is no Biblical basis for "gay marriage." But I would recommend leaving your judgment of me to God. And I would also recommend not speaking on behalf of God in terms of what He does or does not recognize. God alone knows my heart, so you don't have to make claims about what I'm pretending to do.

What is Gay Christianity? I agree there’s no such thing.

Thank you, friend. I might have same sex attraction, but being gay is a small part of me, and I definitely don’t focus identity on it as is popular practice in our culture. My identity is, God willing, in my Lord Jesus Christ. I’d be interested in understanding relationships between men and women, too, so I’d love to engage in that. In an ideal world, I think everyone would be opposite sex attracted. But I’m just dealing with the cards I’ve been dealt in as honest a fashion as possible…

Thanks for the welcome. However, I recently attended a Christian wedding of a distant relative, and the man was very much in love with his new wife, and even cried as he said his vows. I can’t agree with you that love is a word invented by women. It’s all over scripture, many many times, many different words meaning different forms of love. For example, read all of Song of Songs. Her are some verses…(this guys sounds like he’s in love to me…) Song of Songs 1 9 I liken you, my darling, to a mare …

Well, I’m not hardwired that way and that’s just a fact. You can choose to believe it or not. But it’s a fact. There has been no gay gene(s) found, so it is most likely a developmental issue, but it still doesn’t make it a choice. That’s just ridiculous. Why would anyone choose to be a way that is disliked by so many? I would love to be straight, but I’m not. And you’re wrong about that since most mammals exhibit homosexual behaviour, from penguins to lions to ducks. And I’m pretty sure they do …
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 05:39 AM

I don’t think you seem to understand that there is no choice. There is no decision making involved when it comes to the initial attraction.

Is a hair colour a lifestyle?
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 05:37 AM
4

I can tell you that simply being gay is not a “lifestyle.” I have absolutely no choice over who I’m attracted to when I look at someone. I can control my reaction and remind myself that lust is sinful and that I mustn’t disrespect others, but that initial feeling of attraction isn’t a choice.
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 05:08 AM
6

Well, I am. I’m romantically and physically attracted to men. It’s not a choice. It really isn’t. I feel the same love and devotion to men I fall in love with as straight men feel towards women they fall in love with. However, I think modern LGBT culture is a vanguard for Godless sin and should be fought against tooth and nail and usurped.
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 05:06 AM

Because I’m a God fearing Jesus loving Christian. Or at least that’s what I’m aiming at to be as much as I can.

Community and support. Getting away from our culture that celebrates and funnels sinful behaviour down the throats of everyone. Trying to seek refuge from the far left radicals.
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 05:00 AM

I do agree that the Bible essentially has no mention of monogamous committed loving couples that are of the same sex. That sort of pairing wasn’t a thing. Romantic love between people of the same sex is not mentioned. All that is mentioned is lust, which is a sin.
/r/RPChristians24/08/21 04:59 AM

Fear being of weak character and not standing up for yourself. If they threaten you, immediately call the police and submit all documentation. Get restraining orders if necessa…

But ya I agree it’s totally fucked. Male genitalia is often seen automatically as offensive and assaultive. When in reality, it’s actually just as private and vulnerable a part of a guy’s body as a vagina is to a woman.
