A key difference is that women's rights groups identify an issue and then take action to change that. Raise awareness, protests, advocacy, fundraising, and organize in general. From what I have seen, men's rights groups tend to just play oppression Olympics and say they have it harder and stop there.

I am the opposite. I started out as apolitical/centrist, then found the men's rights movement and PUA communities and thought it was super deep. I later realized that women have to contend with a lot more social problems than I personally have to. So ugly face > fat body? It does sound dehumanizing lol. It's like when someone says I don't mean to be an asshole/racist/sexist etc BUT then they say something that IS assholey/racist/sexist.
