The problem is not so much that what that kid is doing is right, because it sounds like a little shit. The problem is that white mothers have transferred the care and loyalty they're supposed to give their sons to politics. They see themselves as part of a political tribe first, with their sons as their opponents, and as mothers second.

The existence of women like that is proof that women were not oppressed, even then. Obviously, that kind of talk would have been oppressed hardest and first. She didn't go to a concentration camp, she didn't get lifelong solitary confinement, she didn't get assassinated. No oppression.
