Kinda same happened to me, when a friend of mine got more serious into his relationship with his now current wife it resulted in him being "able" to hang out with us only when she was out of town, i suspect him being severely pussywhipped because years ago we used to hang out, have a bbq etc. but not anymore. I guess this is a global thing so more or less this has to do with women's will to control their husband/boyfriend so that they will not get any "bad" influence from their bachelor friends.
