But it was because that's what they wanted to know. They wanted to know when it happened and why it happened for each write up. I know it's not a requirement for every school but it obviously is for some.

Not my fault you can not understand something until it's spelled out for you.

Exactly, but why shouldnt she punished and ridiculed to the same extent just because circumstances gave changed.

But sending the boys to jail is what people wanted to happen. Hence, why I used it. Also, I'm a philosophy pre-law major. My specialty is bullshit. The only things I "outrage" over are societal double standards, like criticizing one group of people for doing something and not criticizing another for the same thing. I honestly dont know and dont care what outrage culture is. As far as my record, I was classified as an exceptional child (EC) because I'm legally blind, but I wasnt in special needs …

Ah But, you are wrong. You see I have the paper I had write to admissions explaining everything that happened while I was in high school.

I wasnt wrote up before high school but I'm pretty sure if I committed a "hate crime" at age 12 my future college and employers would want to know. Its equivalent to killing cats and squirrels at 12 and then becoming a psychopath.

Ohhhh another trigglepuff. Sorry I'm right and you're stupid.

I'm not changing my stance. I have felt the same since I read the story. Not my fault you are a trigglpuff

Not really. If we are using the arguement that kids need to learn from mistakes then say the boys did commit the crime with the arguement you present they are 12 and need to learn from thier mistakes, but hate crime can be life sentences. Now say they did go to jail and she had not admitted it was a lie until years later. She would have sent innocent people to jail, but she's just a kid so we should just slap her wrist. I do think appropriate punishment is necessary and I think it should follow …

Hypothetically speaking if the story she made up had been true it would have went on the boys academic and criminal record.

Everyone here is missing my point. My point being: IF the story HAD been true it definitely WOULD have went on the boys criminal and academic record. 12 year olds DO have criminal records but are most of the time locked by a judge after the age of 18. My university asked for ALL my write ups before they accepted me so yes it does effect college. The girl SHOULD have this go on her academic record OR at least be wrote up in some fashion. She SHOULD be held accountable legally for slandering those…

I wish I was in middle school I wouldnt be killing myself over LSAT prep. Oh, you probably don't know what that is because your brain doesn't work. I. Am. Prepping. For. The. Law. School. Admissions. Test.

My university asked for every single write up I had in high school, so dont give me the shit about it not effecting college. Also I like how I said it would go on a criminal and academic record and then you agreed that 12 year old do have criminal and academic records. Also, I wrote in the pastense, being a teacher you should have noticed that. I meant if the allegations had been true. I didnt say it would effect them now that it has come out she's a liar, however I do think it should mentioned …

I was saying if the allegations had been true it would have fucked up thier life and they were also "just kids" so why shouldnt her "mistake" fuck up hers? What's different? Why is that in one situation the kids need to go to jail and be expelled but in the other "she's just a kid leave her alone"

Criminal record and academic record. People wanted those boys to be charged with gate crime. Why shouldnt she be charged with hate crime? It definitely would have went on thier academic record and it should go on hers.

Why shouldnt it go on her academic record? If it had been true it would have went on the 3 boys records. Also, I think her consequences should be made public because it will show as an example to other teenagers of what happens when you do stupid shit that has the potential to ruin other people's life.

And 12 year olds are old enough to know better than to lie. Espically about serious shit that effects the lives of other people. She wanted attention and she got it, but at what cost? And how do you know it would not have effected thier record? People wanted them to be charged with hate crimes. And even if it didnt go on thier legal record it would definitely be on thier school record which highly effect thiet futures if they planned on attending college.

Even if there were no names mentioned to the public it would still go on thier record and screwed up thier entire life. People wanted the other children charged with hate crimes. Her future kind of deserves to be ruined.

But it was okay for her to potentially ruin the lives of the other 3 children? Even if there were no names mentioned to the public it would still go on thier record and screw up thier entire life.
