I’d marry another woman, but probably not a man. Even if we both had equal assets, even with a prenup, even with every box ticked and every standard met, I just don’t know that I could trust a man enough to give him legal power over me. Unless it was a matter of securing the position of my own hypothetical children, I guess it’s unlikely. I don’t think it’s something I could entirely mark out at this stage of my life, I could find The One, but even though it’s been a dream of mine since I was yo…

In my experience as a mixed brown woman, those men will shit on any woman they think they’re better than, which is every woman they come into contact with. Yes, on the surface they put light skin, Asian, Latina, and white women over black women because it’s culturally acceptable to do so, but they don’t actually think they have any more value. They do behave slightly better because they know lighter women do have more options, since colorism doesn’t shut us down the way dark skin black women are…

These posts make me scared to have children. I want them, I’ve always known that, but I’ve only ever met one man I would even consider having a child with, and he still turned out to be below my expectations. And then I see these women suffer from a lazy, entitled man and I wonder how on earth I could ever trust a man enough to build a family with him. But it’s a great reminder to never settle and always think things through, divorce is an option if I get it wrong but I’d just rather remain sing…

Let it be known that there are large groups of terrorist men right here on our own soil who feel the same way about women. If we are not diligent and careful, we will lose what little progress we have made over the last century to extremist religious fanaticism and the predators who latch onto those ideals as a means to their end - seizing power over women and control of social order.

I’ve strait up had a man tell me to get therapy because I didn’t want to do a sexual act that he enjoyed. The entitlement of men my age is so astronomical, and there’s never any balance of “im uncomfortable but I’ll try it for you “ and it’s really the hypocrisy that pisses me off the most. Why the hell is it so hard to respect your partner’s boundaries ?

The men that make you responsible for their emotional baggage are the worst. My last guy never took emotional responsibility for how he felt, just blamed me for not being what he wanted. So glad I wised up by the third date and cut that off early.

This is why divorce is always an option to me. I’ve seen too many times where someone becomes a completely different person after they marry, and I refused to fall for that trap.

I’ll never understand why misogyny is not considered grounds for a hate crime. I mean I get why, cause of the patriarchy that build our world, but it will never make sense to me. It seems that every time misandry is brought up it’s just to discredit or play down misogyny, just like how most people only bring up male rape victims when we’re discussing sexual violence against women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
