I don't know about this author... rape culture is not created? It exists and is perpetuated. Why on Earth would any individual or group want to create that?! It's insane. I hope no man has to experience it, but there is an uptick in UTIs among infants who are intact, per the Academy of Pediatrics. UTIs may seem like NBD, but are dangerous in infants and put you at greater risk for infections down the road. The Academy of Pediatrics says, "we concluded that newborn male circumcision has potential medical benefits and advantages as well as disadvantages and risks. The benefits and risks must be explained to parents and informed consent obtained." So obviously it needs to be discussed and become the right of the individual.

Glad you haven't had issues! Some men are not taught how to, especially in developing countries where health and sexuality are ignored. My brother has had some issues despite being OCD about showering and sexual health. But stats do show you can be at more risk for STDs, regardless of cleanliness. I do agree boys should have a choice, as should all minors with this kind of thing.

The link to the article does not work, though I can intuit what you're upset about and getting to. And it's valid. Violence against all genders is wrong. It breaks my heart thinking of this boy, and the family of the father. While violence against women may be reported more often, or is statistically happening more often, we should take it seriously across the board. Single issue voters include men and women. Guns rights, environmental, residents of DC regarding equal representation, abortion, tax reform, etc. Everyone has something they are passionate about and should be able to prioritize and pursue. Yes, I agree that single issue voters are dumb dumbs in most cases, but I don't see from exit polling that it's limited to pro life or women. There are religious reasons to do this. And medically supported medical reasons: foreskins are harder to clean, and can harbor STDs that are easier to spread and harder to detect. From non gendered perspective, I don't want women in just admin roles in these industries. Feminists don't think of that as a win? Obviously men can do these jobs, and all genders should go for whatever if they can handle the responsibilities. The military was to be perceived as open to all peoples.
