Let them take advantage of us before we’re comfortable, so that they can be sure they aren’t being taken advantage of…. Make it make sense. God forbid we make sure people aren’t doing the same to us. I’m tired of being told to forego my comfort to comfort men.

If a guy wants it, he will call you a b*bykiller to everyone that will listen, and if he doesn’t, he will tell people you lied about being pregnant or tried to babytrap him to anyone that will listen. Not worth it.

Unpopular opinion, but has a ton of women friends that he’s extremely defensive of. Like… you have plans and he cancels to go hang with his “girl best friend” but if you complain then you’re jealous and not letting him have friends and accusing him of cheating. Or doesn’t invite you out with his girl best friends and if you don’t like it you’re controlling.

Had to Google equal rights, equal fights. Gross. Im definitely sure anyone that believes in that shit has never called the cops for DV. The cops find any reason to see a DV victim as dramatic and lying, while they bro up to the guy. There’s also a stigma to DV as a woman.

Rest assured that every single conversation with him will be just as indignant and pretentious. What a helpful warning signal he just gave.

Fawk this one hurt. Sometimes I miss my lovebombing ex that would makeup fights with vacations and new cars, after being with a guy like this. A guy that literally cannot pick a gift without asking for help or plan a decent date, is a misery of its own.

Men are so ingrained that they need to chase women, that asking them out automatically makes them feel superior to you.

And when you find a guy who doesn’t cheat or think about sex 24/7, they have some weird sexual hang ups and never want sex, even with you. Speaking from experience.

A lot of women and men want a pregnancy test to be positive. Sad these narcissistic dudes can’t get out of their own demented mindset and realize that not everyone is like them. Idk why that one really irked me.

“Yea my ex was a lot larger than you so I understand” and move on from this loser. But this is absolutely negging and guarantee he either doesn’t mean it or he’s death gripped his shrimp to death.

Oh no, that was my choice! The way it is now and the way it’s written, we both legally own half. I’m just not financially obligated to it. He can’t sell without my permission or kick me out, but if he stops paying the consequences come on him. I didn’t want to be stuck with a mortgage I couldn’t pay for. If he does sell he owes me half as I’m an owner, even though I don’t pay for it. And it’s more secure than a typical deed between couples in the event of breaking up or death, it can’t really be…

Thank you, wonderful advice!! I wish I could tell everyone this! Luckily I have a very hefty savings, investments, and retirement account from working previously! I don’t touch it, don’t tell him the amounts, and I usually use his card for everything. I may sound selfish but I will never subsidize a man in any way. I’m super careful with my money. I’m more concerned about international abduction of my kids.

So freakin scary!! And I see it a lot. That’s partly why I felt comfortable posting in here, even though most are still dating. They will fool you!!!! Be careful out there girls.

I think that would be a really engaging post. I’m sure FDS is diverse, and arranged marriages are still so so common in Indian, Pakistani, and other communities. It would be good to discuss how to achieve FDS in uncommon situations ( and share stories).

I 100% agree with you. There’s a certain responsibility learned from being able to provide beyond a job. A lot of men get away with having zero problem solving skills in any situation outside of work. Yet if a woman doesn’t know a solution to any obstacle that can come up in everyday life, she’s ditzy or dumb. Men can get away with studying, getting a career, and sitting back. Women need to cook well, clean efficiently, study, get a career, be the social butterfly, be a host, be a good mother, b…

Thank you. It’s so sad that we are expected to deal with this. And no there weren’t, IMO. He was 22-23 had a great degree, top of his class, salaried career, masters, owned a home, was very kind/respectful to me and my son, wasn’t cocky and didn’t love bomb or neg which is a big one for me. Terrifying, huh?

Yes ma’am. My options are to struggle alone… barely make ends meet, worse school system, miss out on 9 hours a day of my kids…. Or ignore the overgrown pouty toddler lurking around in my nice house that my name is on the title but not the mortgage loan 😏. FDS did teach me to never feel guilty for them for having to provide. I think my next step is to actually hire a housekeeper with his Amex.

That sounds just like my mom!! She wouldn’t let me go to college away or anything because I was all she had… talk about emotional incest. The only approved way out of my house (I felt like) was a man to take care of me. My son and I lived with her for a while, when I looked at apartments she’d have a full meltdown. I’m so glad to hear your mom is growing and glowing!! That’s wonderful.

If the US would subsidize single moms beyond bare poverty, I truly think marriages would tank. Being glued to an arrogant man child is like the only way to raise your kids in a nice area, barring special situations. It SUCKS.

Thank you so much. I know, it’s a little more complex with us. I have a hefty savings, but… My husband is a dual citizen of US and India. India is not a member of The Hague convention, which means they won’t make great effort to retrieve your child in the case of an abduction. It’s very scary to ever think of leaving my babies with him or his parents. Im just ranting and getting it all out, sorry for trauma dumping.

Oh I know. Trust me. I rant and rant to him. You can only correct a grown adult man so many times before it’s degrading on yourself. It’s just awful to seek someone to talk to and they both tell you that you should do it all, in front of him. Knowing damn well they both complain abt their husbands. My mom was raised by those strict fundamentalist baptists type, that’s why she feels she’s doing her duty by thinking that way. I feel bad for her, I really do. But I definitely know he’s grown and ca…

also… the upvotes are literally making me cry. I don’t have anyone in my life that understands. We don’t all agree with being a SAHM in here but we all agree that women aren’t supposed to give up their best years to be a glorified maid.

There was a girl posting in a mom group about how her husband is reconnecting with his kids, is it fair that the mom is leaving her (new wife) out of the kids lives. Of course everyone goes off about bitter baby mama…. But the story unfolded that dad didn’t want to pay support so gave up all legal rights in court. The pick-me wife twisted this as “greedy baby mama took the kids from him over money!!!” And not her husband throwing a temper tantrum so big that he legally abandoned his children.

And you just know everyone in his life thinks she’s desperate and wants him back for begging him to be involved with his child. There always seems to be a pick-me that’s giggling right there with him.

Walking places (outside of big cities that are walking dependent) is getting to that point too. It’s weird. My neighborhood backs up to a walking trail, the other side is a library, a few stores, and our daycare. The providers almost refused to give me my child because I walked the stroller there and didn’t have a vehicle.

I’m a SAHM and they hate us too. I’m apparently a worthless leech on my husband’s wallet because I want to raise my kids at home. The working women in my circle have been calling bad/selfish mothers. Society just hates women. I also was a single mom, and let me tell you... men have absolute vitriol for single moms. Like utter disgust and hatred. I see a lot of comments saying they’re mad that childfree women aren’t fulfilling their purpose... but idk if that’s it. A lot of men are disgusted at s…

When I broke up with my ex, he met up with me at a party with the intention of getting me pregnant. I did. Then he stated that he didn’t want me, and now no other man would. I had no issue getting dates, and met my fiancé a month after I stopped going back and forth with my ex.

It is so COMMON!! And yes the girl always gets accused of seducing a poor innocent grown ass man. It’s disgusting. Yes mine convinced me to get pregnant so we could live happily ever after.... I was a freshman in high school. To make matters worse, I was only banned from seeing him until I was 18, but we kept texting in secret. I went back to him and only left him when he cheated, after I wasted my whole high school adolescence worrying about him. He wouldn’t let me go to parties or sleepovers o…

Can confirm, happened to me. Had a miscarriage at the ripe age of barely 15, with my 22 year old “boyfriend.” I was promptly called every degrading name in the book, and my parents still hold it over my head like I wasn’t a literal CHILD. Anyway, I’m not at all sad because he essentially abandoned his first child that he’d had while I was still in elementary school.

Life gets easier when you realize you don’t get a trophy for being a martyr, especially for men. You don’t automatically get a good man by picking a poor or ugly one, actually they usually project and treat you horribly too. The only people mad at women with rich husbands are people that are mad about dealing with their shit spouse and still having nothing to show for it.

I have been married twice, dated a bunch, lots of men in my family. I think HVM are very, very rare if they exist at all. I can’t pinpoint any off my head that I know. I thought my husband was one of the best but after kids he also became a man child.

A lot of guys have a fetish of baby trapping a woman. It may be primal instinct or some ridiculous trash (not defending it), but I’ve dated no less than 5 guys who actually attempted to get me pregnant. I also had pregnancy scares with those men who immediately changed their tune and hit the door running.

AITA for accusing her of trapping me for my money and demanding she do an expensive and invasive prenatal paternity test before I’ll speak to her again?” Answers- NTA man the timing is so convenient for her. protect your fortune.

Men in your circle are also men on dating sites, and men on dating sites also have a circle of friends/interests irl. Covid has a lot of young professionals isolated at home and away from work and hobbies. I hope this sub teaches us to spot red flags irl and online.

Everyone likes to pretend Hinge and Bumble are so superior to Tinder.... it’s the same fucking people. Like oh because Adam from Tinder updated his Hinge bio to say he’s a hopeless romantic, that means he’s a new person? Lol

It’s always the crazy, difficult baby mama. There’s a reason two women didn’t want to raise their children together with him. But no.. I’m sure he will be different the third time around... after all the lying.

I ditched my garbage, cheating, abusive baby daddy for a extremely HVM that I don’t have to beg to be a family. His gf recently told me I ask ex to keep our child a fair amount so I can see him, and I’m sad that my life didn’t turn out great like hers 🥴. I had to laugh. He bragged about cheating on her the entirety of 2019, while my dude was starting a business, bought us a house, and proposed.

When men say they can’t find a date, they mean their tiny, perfect proportioned, blonde in the summer brunette in the winter, high fashion yet modest, sweet, funny, kind, loves to cook, highly educated, high earner but obedient and meek, mentally stable with no traumatic past, doesn’t want kids yet but wants 4, sex goddess virgin, hasn’t been plopped into their lap. And then they take it out on you.
