Heh, the way you're describing it makes me think of a cartoon character that has a ray of sunshine that follows him everywhere, and people treat him syrupy-sweet because of it. That would get annoying for sure.

Honestly, a lot of how anybody is treated is in how they dress and carry themselves. There was a social experiment a while ago where the same black man dressed like a thug, then dressed neatly in business casual clothing. The result? He got treated very well as a businessman, and very poorly as a thug. The thing was, they tried to claim that how he was treated was an example of racism, when to me, it proved the opposite. Breeze right through with no receipt check? Black privilege. Lol. My sister…

The indignation some people exhibit even for stupid shit. The other day I was in a Wal-Mart (Yeah, I know). This black dude comes wheeling out a 65" TV and gets asked for the receipt. He FLIPS the fuck out. Accused the greeter of targeting him because he's black etc. Screamed like a loon for like five minutes before finally showing the receipt and he left. I'm thinking in my head. "Dude. I look pretty white and I get asked for a receipt when I try to walk out with anything more valuable than fif…

Yup. In my younger years, my rule of thumb was, even if I wasn't really drunk, if the girl was more intoxicated than I was. It wouldn't happen. Part of that is my upbringing, part of it was just good common sense. I know a guy who was a Marine, and at a party a girl got drunk and had sex with multiple guys. She instigated it. After the second guy, somebody started filming it. Apparently she had sex with four or five guys that night, and she was the one who instigated it each time. The next day s…

I was raised in a very pro-spanking household. I realized from about age 6 or 7 that I'd take a spanking any day over getting grounded. That kind of stuck with me. I have a couple of kids. I've swatted their butts a few times, but only when they were belligerently disobedient, or for instance, when my son took a toy from his sister and shoved her down. That happened exactly once. Now he's protective as shit over his baby sister. I've generally found that if you explain what you want them to do, …

I have a two year old. I think I've swatted her butt like twice in her life when she was really misbehaving. She breaks out in tears if I even raise my voice at her. She WANTS to do the right thing. I can't even imagine beating a kid. They're just so damn fragile. Like little trusting fragile eggs. Anybody who could superglue a kid's hands to the wall and beat them into a coma deserves no sympathy, and no mercy.

Those morons kicked all the rational women off the feminism bus long ago. 3rd wave fems are angry, bitter, men-hating lesbians, by and large. Most self-identified feminists I've met tend to be massively obese, largely unsuccessful, angry people who are looking for somebody to blame for their failures. The remainder are impressionable college girls who have never lived in the real world.

For part number 1. Yeah. There are a lot of people. I've gotten in arguments with them. "her body, her choice, no matter how late term" is their mantra. I suspect you've run across them too. Since you don't seem to fall into that category, I apologize for assuming it based on your initial post. Sure it matters. I didn't say I like it, but it's like the old hypothetical ethical choice of driving your car and a car swerves across the center line straight at you. You can't stop in time, and if you …

If we're not sure where the line between human life and a cluster of cells is, what right does anybody have to destroy it? Shouldn't there be a strong prejudice towards protecting those who are the most vulnerable? I never claimed life begins at conception, but it damn sure doesn't begin at birth. I see the taking of innocent life as evil, as I suspect, most people do. But the idea that it's ok to kill a baby at 19 or 20 weeks gestation, but inhumane at 21or 22 weeks is ridiculous. Regarding you…

Redefining a human being to something else is evil. Pretending an unborn baby isn't human, and instead using "fetus" "parasite" or "lump of cells" is no different than the Nazis redefining entire races of people in order to make it easier to kill them.

Fetus=sub-human. Hitler and the Nazis did the same thing.

What's the difference between suffocating your baby in a trash can and paying somebody to tear it apart inside your womb and suck the pieces out? At the end of the day you have a dead baby.

Long enough. SOP called for only 6 mags but almost everybody had 8-12. It's insanely easy to dump a few mags just from initial contact in order to maneuver somewhere. Once you're settled you can slow down. Your base of fire comes from the belt feds. SAWS lay down the higher volume fire, but that means they go empty pretty fast. Most of our SAW gunners world carry about 5-700 rounds on belts. They'd start bumming your mags when they got low, so if you want the SAW to keep talking, you give up you…

Second this. I carried almost exactly a hundred pounds on patrol my first deployment. M16, a couple of frags, 11 mags, IFAK, 100 oz of water in a camelback, demo charges, flak, Kevlar, ESAPI plates. Shot adds up. For a while, I had to carry a SMAW with two rockets as well. Thank God our command eventually said no rockets in the city because carrying that on top of my regular load was ridiculous, and it caught on everything.

I've actually had to do that before. The guy who was shot weighed probably 170, but he was literally dead weight. Adding on the 80 lbs of gear he was carrying, you have to be able to get 250-300 lbs moved. Adding in the fact that you're carrying another 80 lbs of gear yourself, it's strenuous. And I was a very fit 225 lb tall guy at the time.

Look bud, This was a failure on both your parts. Yeah she shouldn't have lane changed like that, but you were clearly speeding based on how fast you passed all the other traffic. It's entirely possible she saw you behind her, but underestimated your rate of speed. Everything past that initial brush was just freaking stupid though.

Sorry. You're laboring under the impression that women who can't hack it will be weeded out. True to a point. Training standards will be lowered in the end to reduce injuries which were previously never a problem. That was my point. Also, fwiw, I didn't down vote you.

No you're getting downvoted because you don't understand how things will work in reality. In reality, females will simply begin getting injured at higher rates if they try to keep pace. Once it reaches a certain threshold, units will get pushback from up top. Shit will get stupid. Training will be truncated and reduced to to mitigate injuries such as stress fractures, back problems, etc. This will effect all units. In the infantry, you are technically allowed to go to sickbay any time you want, …

You know what's more inhumane? Leaving the wire and running out of ammo or water. There's not a lot of weight you can cut once you take Flak, Kevlar, weapon(s) ammo and water.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
