While I agree TRP is a cesspool, I do think people can change. When I was younger, I believed in the TRP philosophy. Granted I had no idea the sub existed and had no community, but my belief system reflected their values. I have changed, grown older, matured, and realized that 19 year old slashetsy was very wrong and flawed. I think we should encourage people that want to take the "real red pill" and get out of the TRPer fantasyland. It's a toxic, self destructive spiral for the weak minded.

I think I am completely misunderstanding you. I honestly am just confused at the moment. Your post is very very unclear.

Is that in your personal manifesto? You are proving OPs point better than I ever could.

Again, TRP thinks it understands the inner desires of every man and woman on the planet.... Like a lot of TRP literature, this honestly just comes across as desperate. Like you HAVE to resort to these tactics to get a shred of intimacy. Sexual strategy has benefited me a ton, but this just comes across as a lackluster justification of your own guilt.

And I think that reading some pseudo-scientific subreddit and acting like it's the word of God is pathetic. See, "Blue Pill" is just "Not Red Pill" so essentially, I just disagree with you. That doesn't make me what you call a "Beta" or a "white night" I just think you are wrong and I lose respect for someone who would actually associate themselves with the clearly pathetic content on TRP.

Good reply. I enjoyed the read. In terms of my quality argument, you do learn to adapt to your partner and can become more expert in pleasuring each other. That said, I liked your reply and it got my to think and question my own beliefs. Kudos for that. I will argue that there is a time and place for a LTR but your points are valid about many men.

I was refuting the argument that the "many men who experience benefits from TRP" are acceptable evidence that TRP is "correct." That's a whole other discussion which I would like to have some time. Though, I'd probably compare TRP to /r/NoFap as there are more similarities.

http://www.whatisscientology.org/html/Part05/Chp19/index.html googled it for you. Do I really have to get your a list of cults and their member counts too? I'm one for evidence... but man there's a point where a citation isn't needed. Edit: Have fun reading all the testimonials and what auditing can do for you, www.scientology.org/

No, just your dignity. I am not saying TRP is exactly like Scientology. However, your argument for defending TRP is EXACTLY what Scientology and other religions use. This is what a lot of us "BPers" don't like about RPers.

I don't need an LTR either, but I definitely prefer them. Advantages: Safer (STD risk lowered), activation of "love" biochemical pathways (pleasure), regular sex, better sex, saves time spent persuing sex with other females from being lost allowing for better allocation of resources towards gaining superior knowledge and getting ahead in your career/learning. Disadvantages: Less exciting, depending on the person there may be some loss of personal freedom. With the correct partner positive utilit…

Cults and Megachurches can reach high member counts. That just shows how low the common denominator is for mankind. To help my point, Replace RP and TRP with Scientology. You are not much different.

I hadn't quite mastered it, but I had the ragey "blame women" core aspects down at that age. Who knew I was so advanced for my age?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/14 04:15 PM

Exactly. I dislike TRP for the exact same reason I dislike SRS. It's a bunch of brain numbing shit content designed to elicit an emotional response from viewers while pretending to contain actual content. Sexual strategy is good content. Too bad hardly any of TRP actually contains actual strategy. I have to wade through so much shit to find anything worthwhile on TRP that it gives me a headache after 10 minutes.

Yes. Compare /r/seduction to /r/theredpill... Simply put trp reads like something I would have written at age 17 while listening to KoRn and Papa Roach.

There are times when you can afford to be blunt. Especially if you are attractive. Simply asking women if I can kiss them is my go to if things head to friendship land and I'm failing to escalate otherwise. It works quite well but you have to be ready for rejection and shake it off.

I do pretty well for myself. I've managed to get laid recently from bars and from okcupid with attractive women fairly easily. I have no way to prove that, so if you believe that since I reject TRPism I cant possibly be getting laid, well that's your right. I wont sit here and claim I am some god of men. As I've said many times, I have my own "inner game" problems and my own struggles within myself. We all do. Crying on the internet about how women have all the power in society certainly never h…

We're discussing assholes. I'm not sure what you want from me. In any case, what I am trying to convey is that the NiceguyTM is more just uninformed rather than some evil beast. They may grow up into Terpers or Bpers, but they are just the result of an EXTREMELY rudimentary approach to sexuality, they lack the complexity that even TRP has.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/14 07:24 PM
1

Yes. The more open minded and emotionally mature you are, the better luck you'll have with more... advanced friendships. Seriously though, some of my best friends are women, life isn't about some binary system where you are either friends or lovers.

Years of experience. I used to identify as a TRPer back in my sexually frustrated days. I view it as an emotional reaction to the discomfort of a complicated sexual landscape. Technically I'd be a bper since that is usually defined as not a terper, but my position is more like atheism. I view trp and radfems like religious cults and enjoy arguing against all the dogma I can find here.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/14 04:01 PM
3

No. Experience taught me that with a lot less dogma piled on top. A quick read of any pua sub or book can tell you that. TRP is hardly novel or revolutionary.

They are like children, not quite developed enough to understand why their approach is problematic. They also have a sense of deserving which is, in my opinion, a small narrow worldview. I think that asshole and confidence should really be on a two dimensional graph.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/14 03:23 PM

Only problem is that trp seems like an army of straw men. Perhaps you are the one not like the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/14 03:51 PM

I won't argue there and I don't. I view PPD as entertainment and a chance to improve my debating skills and to understand trpers and bpers better.

I disagree. I guess I want a women who can resist my social exploits. Think of it this way, a hacker may have a lot more respect for a server they cannot comp than one that has the default password. I'm certainly not against using strategy for one night stands and I have, but I want to spend my life with a woman intelligent enough to reverse engineer my adaptations, someone who can challenge me and make me a better person.

Stop telling me what I find attractive. I find equality attractive, I might be the minority but it's my own choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/14 02:01 PM

Adding to this, that also assumes you have the correct instincts. Some of us are not born neurotypical and lack the instincts you take for granted. We may be intelligent, thus adaptable, but simply "being ourselves" will not work.

Take the sexual strategy of red pill, the respect for women on the blue pill. Remove the concept of "deserving" from your thoughts. Destroy jealousy. Get rid of the holier than thou attitude of bluepillers about sexual strategy. Get rid of the emotion and the hatred of TRP. There are no "natural gender roles." There's just a social environment which includes those that will flourish and those that will perish, winners and losers. I believe that all other pills are too busy wasting time about wha…

Won't disagree there. However I'd say that embracing trp would be pretty counterproductive for me.

Trpers should know that I don't really find women that are so easily conned attractive. I am sexually more interested in women who want an equal relationship.

Amazing post. You describe my conundrum precisely. Though honestly I don't know I'd a movement based in logical discourse is possible in the human race as the majority of the population requires emotional stimulation that trp and radfems provide.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/14 03:25 PM

Yes. The pua stuff will simply be a lot more effective when you are a stylish dashing hunk of man meat. I find it easier to work out and research fashion than to do the social side of things so I tend to lean more in that direction.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/14 12:45 AM
2

Agreed. It's a worthy void to fill. BluePillers can sometimes have a holier than thou attitude about this stuff. Those of us that wanted the benefit of sexual strategy without degrading our partners were left without a home.

There might be causality there. There's a lot of men who are late into their 20s and 30s who have yet to experience intimacy which is arguably a major component of being human. They feel their life slipping away and might wonder if they will die without ever being intimate or being in love. It's that fear that drives us to places like TRP. The traits most women find desirable are just not natural for some is us. I don't mean to imply that we deserve sex and love, nobody deserves anything in this…

I might not be parsing your reply correctly as I assumed a double negative represented a single negative. Response: Of course it does, but privilege can be taken away or lost. Knowledge is true power in that anyone can use it. I'm privileged in a lot of ways and I know it. You are too, your privilege is what allows you to connect to reddit. I just don't care for the aggression based solely on my advantages. I agree that we should all be equal but the world sucks, knowledge gives anyone power.

This. It's the arrogance of TRP that bothers me. There's no easy answers to navigating the sexual relationships in the modern era. It's not easy and there are going to be winners and losers. A lot of us anti-TRP people here are simply not interested in your definition of what a "real man" is. I dont have a viable alternative. I just think that this system is just way too complicated and that there is no right and wrong, no "way it should be." I dont see anything wrong with a man who wants a woma…

Continuing with my comparison to religion. A lot of religions have wonderful values. Take Christianity, the 10 commandments sound great to me! With the exception of a couple then pretty much line up with my ethics! Take TRP, there's a lot to it to like, encouraging masculine values sounds good to me. Learning sexual strategy, awesome! Avoiding being an annoying "beta" nice guy" who wants to check off his "nice guy" stickers to get reward sex at the end. Awesome. The problem comes down to people.…

Precisely. Personally I value intellect and cunning far more than "Alpha" traits. I guess to describe the difference I'd use pop culture. Think Jean Luc Picard vs Tyler Durden. Both very masculine, dominant personalities that can take command, however one is thoughtful and rational while the other is fueled by raw emotion. I don't want to remain a slave to my primal urges, humans can do better than that.

I've adopted the term sigma male (the PUA community also uses this term) for an introvert with a dominant personality. I suppose that doesn't fit your bill exactly. I think TRPs obsession with Alpha traits is silly to be honest. Introverts can be damn good seductionists, and often can function without the need for others which can be extremely advantageous. Not to mention you can still be a protector while preserving a dominant personality type. RedPillers are far too caught up in their dogmas. …

TRP as you define it sounds perfectly fine to me. I definitely struggled with "sexual strategy" and am an avid reader of /r/seduction. Communities can be a great force for good. I completely love /r/malefashionadvice, /r/fitness, /r/malehairadvice however these subs are exactly what they claim to be and keep narrow focus. Are they subject to the echo-chamber flaw? Absolutely. All of reddit is, however /r/malefashionadvice isn't posting about the nature of man is it? Honestly I think TRP is a cor…

Poor word choice. Good catch. I suppose I was trying to convey the feeling that the group you were once part of was showing signs of being against you, a lot of us started off as "BluePillers" until we became classified as privileged in some way, perhaps just for our success. The flaw of human nature. My point being that TRP is more of an emotional reaction to that feeling of betrayal rather than the "moment of clarity" they try to frame it as. Essentially it's a scam to prey on those misfortuna…

So you are literally just admitting that you have never looked into any other opinion than the one you have now and take the fact that others have accepted this after experiencing other opinions as irrefutable proof that you are right?! Your lack of curiosity disappoints me.

A better option might be using logic and objectivity rather than submitting to yet another dogma. It's not that I disagree with TRPs analysis of a lot of feminists, the problem is they are doing the exact same thing in retaliation. Instead of finding a better alternative, TRP is just a different flavor of the same flawed view of the world.

Very important distinction. I think the problem with trp is that it's more comparable to SRS than average feminists.

People seek a community for validation. Once these people feel ostracized by one community they find another in an act of defiance. Both of these are really similar institutions characterized most by their anti individualistic monocultures.

I saw SRS, and thought that it was insane. I saw TRP and thought it was pathetic. With a few word substitutions I'd have trouble telling one reddit cult from another. They both remind me of the ignorant masses gathering in churches to feel a sense of belonging.

Emotional argument, I cannot draw any conclusions from your post. Anecdotal evidence is bad logic at best and manipulative at worst. You are arguing like a radfem.

They are failures to adapt, they are being selected out as they are unfit for modern society. Rather than work on a viable compensation strategy, they use most of their energy to blame their environment. Banding together allows them some advantages such as a pack mentality that provides them emotional utility so in that way it is a strategy. Some of their advice is solid pickup strategy but it's laced is their silly dogma. Like any cult, there are a few at the top manipulating their weak masses.

I guess I think that there's enough variation in the human mind to render this discussion pointless. If we become more BluePill it will favor one group if we get more RedPill it favors another. Personally I'd rather live in a BluePill society because I have more experience adapting to that environment. The true nature of Man is way too inclusive. Not all of us fall into cookie cutter definitions of Alpha and Beta.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/14 01:54 AM

All this talk of Alpha and Beta is too restrictive. This sigma male wants no part in TRP or the so called "Beta" males.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/14 01:37 AM

Nothing should change. Life evolved in a constantly changing system. You either learn to adapt or you die. If TRP is right and we are developing a more feminine society this will select for some personalities over others. Learn to adapt, or perish, quabbling over what is right and wrong is a waste of time as those are non-existent constructs.

There are genuinely nice guys out there who just get screwed. But there are also jealous needy little bastards like the ones featured in the image. Do what works, nobody deserves anything in this life, we're all on our own in the end.

No, being beta is letting behavior like that bother you. Being that distraught about some AFC trying to get laid shows a lack of discipline/maturity and ultimately insecurity with yourself. Honestly the whole alpha/beta thing is silly. Be confident, not a douchecanoe.

Usually I try to talk things up like a place in town I've always wanted to go or ask her questions about what her favorite places are and then propose them as a second date. It's a balance though, you don't want to immediately say something like, "oh you like <X>, lets go there sometime" as that implies clinginess and is way too passive. I usually just probe for ideas but don't throw my cards down. I do think it's okay to mention hanging out at the end of the date (don't make it a question), I o…
