2	I did read this interesting comment online. I never had a gf (M/20) and this comment is frightening me that I’m going to experience the same thing? any ideas to calm myself down? I am in terms of my overall happiness and well-being. I'm always in a good mood after bjj and meditation has helped me recognize when I am thinking in a negative spiral so that I can stop. My friends have noticed that I am happier and more fun to be around again. I also get a ton of compliments on my style now. I have been slowly working on that for a few years. I meditate every day, read every day and have been looking for new hobbies. I already found and love bjj and am looking into trying yoga and dance soon. I have spent more time with my friends and have worked on putting myself in more social situations. It's scary how much you sound like me when I was 20. I was also in college as a pre-med and began to beat myself up for a lack of success with women. I lost interest in all of my activities, lost sight of my goals and did so poorly that I ensured that I would never get into medical school. Once I realized I had ruined my long term career goals, I essentially existed in misery for a few years going nowhere. I think it's important the recognize that this guy is almost definitely depressed. He keeps saying he's happy with himself but it is clear from his story that he is not.
