I appreciate your input but I personally do not believe in making the first move as a woman. As frustrating and old fashioned as it might sound, men are supposed to be the “hunters”. And they KNOW it. If you make the first move and he says yes, you’ll never be able to gauge his REAL interest in you - there’s a real possibility that he isn’t all that interested (because if he was, he would have made the first move) and is only stringing you along until he finds someone he likes better. By making …

Come on, you could have just replaced “quickie” for “sex” and it would still be accurate.

I don’t mean to ~victim blame~ here but why do women keep having children with men who are OBVIOUSLY irredeemable pieces of shit? The guy literally told her to abort the first baby. If that’s not your cue that he doesn’t want anything with building a future with you, I don’t know what is. Why would anyone want to be trapped with a person like this? Women should stop deluding themselves and having children with scrotes.

Do not ask men out.

I guess what triggered my overly eager response was feeling that the other person wasn’t making enough effort to carry the conversation. Plus it was someone I was kinda interested in (it’s always a lot easier to be cool when it’s someone you are not interested in... haha). I will definitely try to be more conscious of these automatic responses from now on. Thank you for the insightful reply!

Great advice! I guess “keeping tabs” may sound petty and have a niceguys vibe to it, but for people who tend to overcompensate, being aware of reciprocity is a great tip. “What has this person done to deserve my efforts?” is something I will try to ask myself more often.

Once this whole virus thing settles down a bit I actually intend on going to what I call “practice dates” to help me get more comfortable lol.

Going through all the reasons would be quite long and to be frank, I’m not even sure if I could pinpoint it. I have a tendency to be a people pleaser. I guess that is because I feel inadequate and then feel the need to overcompensate. Having had shitty boyfriends in the past who didn’t care for or spoil me (while seeing other women being spoiled and envying them) has definitely contributed to my low self esteem. I’m especially insecure about my looks even though I’m not ugly. I’m currently focus…

Thank you so much for the insightful reply and especially for the second paragraph. Do you happen to have the link for that post? I would love to read it.

It is “just a ring” but what it SYMBOLIZES (and what the fact that he has stopped wearing it symbolizes) should not be overlooked. If it’s just a ring why does he refuse to wear it? There’s definitely something behind his refusal, and I would be very upset if I were you. You have already stated how it makes you feel and yet he refuses to change his behavior (and you are not asking for much for gods sake, the bar is in hell really). Definitely a red flag for me.

No, women deserve to orgasm. Unfortunately, most men don’t care/are shit at it. If anyone “deserves” anything, it’s men who deserve to be shamed for their awfully poor performances.

People always want the best (whatever best means to them). Men would also ideally end up with a hot young model (because youth and beauty are the things males value the most), and only settle for average because they know they stand no chances with that 10/10. Instead of crying that women always want “chad” (lol), men need to acknowledge their own hypocrisy.

Because most women don’t give a flying fuck about sex with men. We have experienced it, we know it sucks, we know most men are not going to get us off. So we ignore it and focus on their redeeming qualities. I’m not trying to excuse men for being shit in bed. They are and should be ashamed of it. Women should orgasm as much as men do, but realistically, we know if we vet men for their abilities to get us off, there would be pretty much no man left.

Hahahaha couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank god for vibrators because holy shit most men (I want to say “all” but I’ll refrain from doing so because some people are going to get their feefees hurt) suck in bed.

Sex for women can still be pleasurable without one No, it cannot. Can WOMEN please stop propagating this? This is a cope women use to excuse how awful their boyfriends/husbands are in bed. They are trying to rationalize having bad sex so that they don’t feel they’ve been used as a fleshlight. Spoiler alert: if you are not orgasming at all, or if you orgasm once every 10000 times you have sex, then you ARE a fleshlight. Women, let’s stop bullshiting ourselves.

Nope. Women having a dumpster full of spoiled food to choose from is the correct analogy.

That sounds like... quite a dangerous approach. Especially since it seems that many men “upgrade” their longterm gfs when they get their act together. I’m glad it worked out for you though!

I totally get what you are saying, but let me tell you what I have concluded from my experience: although a HVM will not devalue you for being forward (as others have mentioned, those men that are put off when a woman shows interest are LVMs that are only in for the thrill of the chase), your relationship with him will benefit from you being a little elusive. If you are anything like me during my pre-FDS phase, you tend to give too much, too intensely, too soon. And nobody likes that, it’s human…

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Some men are so entitled they are delusional. The average woman already brings so much to the table, and they resent us when we ask for the bare minimum? It’s like they think we should be grateful for them for existing. Pathetic.

I agree with you. A true HVM will not devalue a woman for asking him out first. I was the one who sent a message first to my now ex-bf (I know, I know... pickme phase 🤦‍♀️) and he turned out to be one of the most HV men I have ever met. THAT BEING SAID, although a HVM will not devalue you, I still believe he will probably be a little put off, since it is so difficult to escape the social conditioning of the Madonna/Whore complex and the notion that “men do the asking out”. Although my ex-bf was …

I’m familiar with the WMLB’s approach as well. Funny how these approaches are the polar opposite of one another. In my experience the WMLB’s one is great at weeding out LV/NVM. I’ve had a scrote say he wanted to date me, to which I replied “I’m not looking for a relationship right now”. He then promptly proposed: “well, how about being fuckbuddies then?”. The mask slipped so fast lol. Instant block and delete. I’m not too experienced though and I do think saying something like that could cause a…
