There's a weekly profile review thread on /r/tinder that you can post on

Good for you! I did something similar when I was feeling pretty down sophomore year of college. It actually made me so much happier regardless of people's responses. I started to feel like I was playing a game that I could win no matter if they smiled back or not. Got me out of my funk both romantically and socially. Still something I fall back on if I'm ever in the dumps about my social circle.

Nah I'm a chick, so of course I just lie there unenthusiastically and count ceiling tiles, making the occasional encouraging comment.

Well done. I like the approach, even the fact that you didn't introduce yourself / ask her name. It brings the interaction to a whole other 'unusual' level where you aren't just having the same conversation she's had with innumerable other people in the library. As long as you stayed away from the typical smallchat on your way to lunch, I give you an A+.

Haven't seen that movie (yet) but I'm a big proponent of sexually charged silences. Also just as an aside: he wouldn't even have to look like Ryan Gosling, though it clearly helps. If a guy and I shared a moment like that and he got up and walked away I don't think I'd be able to handle myself. On that note, I can't figure out if it's good or bad that he left her hanging like that. Experiment with both and report back!

I think being sexually aware is totally internal, but regardless clearly helps with external projection and comfort with the sexuality of you and others. To give off more of a sexual vibe: make sure you have a good smile and good eye contact. You want the right amount of playful and knowing. Walk well, hold yourself well (stand up straight/tall), know when to talk and when to be quiet, make physical contact with everyone, but don't be over the top. Go after what/who you want with the ol' outcome…

Hey! Cool, glad you liked it. I'm constantly on the look out for good techniques, what works on me, and what works for me when I'm looking to talk to men. Always open to giving input if it helps people out, or at the very least I'd like to try to give encouragement so people don't worry so much and just start simple.

Nope, definitely no face. Maybe that's why he was just reasonably attractive

Who said anything about screwing with people? This is positive energy you're putting out, starting in small quantities and moving up from there. It's a chain-reaction, the more of this you do, the more you'll feel comfortable with, and eventually you'll find yourself able to open up with anyone you want to open up with. Does that make more sense?

My advice: Try making it a game for yourself and going for numbers. If you have no problems with social skills as you say, it should just be fun. Take a day or two per week where you approach or make some kind of contact with every single person you encounter. Smile, wink, say "hey how are you?", whatever it takes to break the contact barrier. People generally aren't used to strangers being friendly but most appreciate it, and those that don't, well, whatever. The more people you approach with a…
