Patriotism, like all other isms, is a lie. Borders are imaginary and civic duty is an impractical, abstract form of social control. Fitness, however, is science. Stay fit for yourself, not for a meaningless hypothetical war.

I think you should be ashamed of any ideology that preaches hating people simply for existing.

I think this is worse... This a misguided misogyny.

I think the part about taking away people's right to vote is a pile of steaming BS. I do however think that voting should not just be by virtue of age. Perhaps if it required a certain level of education or training of some kind things would be better.

Ya know, I agree with this. We do need to get all of this hurt off our chests and let go. I just don't think that's what's happening. Or at least not the letting go part. Perhaps it's because the most controversial and inflammatory posts float to the top but the majority or these posts just seem like its people who have been holding onto their bitterness and using it to fuel hate. And all the new people who come in just find the hate without context and buy into such a destructive way of thinkin…

Do you know who Prosper Ortega or Lori Hacking were? If you're going to give examples of women hurting men, I assure you the numbers are overwhelmingly against the likes of you and I.

Predators kill. Men have killed a whole lot more...well..of everything.. than women have.

I do not find that offensive. If writing like a woman means I make sense and argue my points well then maybe we should all write and talk like women.

I hate to resort to cliches but two wrongs do not make a right. It sucks that bad things happened to these people but that should not be used as an excuse to preach hate, especially not to younger men who come seeking guidance. When it comes to egregious offenses against partners- rape, domestic abuse, murder- men have statistically done way worse to women than women have done to men. Such is the nature of power, its wielders tend to abuse it. Espousing such beliefs and, worse, propagating them …

I cannot speak to the experiences of the men here but I know there are healthy ways of venting and then there are ways in which we are simply looking for excuses to express our inner hatefulness. The posts here look a lot like the latter. Hey, I don't want to get fucked. I've been in a few messy relationships too and hated it but I don't think outright misogyny will cure any of that. Telling me to watch out for bears and trying to convince me that bears are the most vile, greedy predators to wal…

I am a man proudly going my own way but you guys just seem bitter. Being your own independent man need not mean you degrade women in the process. It just looks like you're lashing out as a defence mechanism. Stand up for yourselves without stepping on others.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
