One of the first things I do with a new client is find them on all the social media sites and block them. I'm not interested in any non professional relationship with them. Also, if you plan to use the clinic again, some of her friends might be your future therapist, so they are off limits as well. SLPs work with a variety of patients, including stroke patients and non verbal autistic kids. People who literally cannot speak for themselves. You can't trust someone in that situation who had such poor judgement that they'd get into an inappropriate relationship with a former patient. We're a health care profession. I am a speech language pathologist. (I assume you're not in the US, since you used the term speech language therapist) Speech therapists are bound by a code of ethics that includes not fucking current or former clients. Even when you're in school. She may reject you outright, citing ethics. She may have to report you to her clinical supervisors.
