1. https://medium.com/@meholstein/why-women-make-false-rape-accusations-938ffdf9a181 She quotes the 2-10% are provably false stat. She also says: This article has gotten a lot of responses from people, men in particular. Even some from the MGTOW or Men’s Rights groups. I’d like to clarify that I think sexism is a real and serious problem in America today. More in this follow up I wrote where she says "feminism is very necessary in our society because sexism still runs rampant" 2. https://www.cha…

Bullshit, you know full well that people will infere that 92% are true from what you said I was literally just paraphrasing the report. You are the one adding in the "only" word. The reason 8% is significant, is because it's what we can outright dismiss as false alligations. Any larger numbers are speculative. If you have additional data, I am happy to look at it. But we have to be careful with heresay and guesstimations and philosophical thoughts and annecdotes and introspection because so so o…

The Air Force’s basic military training program has overhauled their policies in the last 30 years in response to their known sexual abuse / harassment / rape problems simultaneously showing that (hopefully) human nature (even if driven by policy) can change, and that the Air Force for one, had a known problem even as late at 2012 when their policies were still being revised. Even ignoring this policy discussion, reporting of rape in the military from the 80's is specifically hard to compare wit…

Well... no. I didn't say 92% are true. I said "The FBI estimates around 8% of rape accusations are unfounded after investigating them" which is a pretty tight paraphrasing of: The “unfounded” rate, or percentage of complaints determined through investigation to be false, is higher for forcible rape than for any other Index crime. Eight percent of forcible rape complaints in 1996 were “unfounded” I don't believe I commented on, or eluded to, any generalization which could apply to the 92%.

Thats a 34 year old paper about rape in the Air Force. Maybe we can find something a little more recent or non-military?

Bawahahahahaha, oh my feminist, you tried to use that stat in the wrong place, for we are very familiar with that FBI report here and it doesn't say that at all. So far everyone has been respectful. I'm not a feminist. It's 8% confirmed false accusations, usually by confessions, not an absolute % of false accusations. Well no, what it says is that when they investigate rape, that find that 8% are baseless. Now so far I haven't seen any evidence that supports the 65% claim. If you can provide som…

Well... no. It's not a vile movement. The radical feminists you dislike are always going to be there, and they will use whatever channel is available to attack men. The FBI estimates around 8% of rape accusations are unfounded after investigating them. (source: https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/1996/96sec2.pdf) We can debate statistics and reporting rates etc., but I still believe that support resources need to reach victims. I was attempting to say that we should not be stuck in a local minima where there are clear winners and losers. I think we can find a place where we all care equally for one another and actively work to elimenate bias as a whole. A global minima is to say "a global fairness" - which is what I hope we all desire.

I mean, you can still have a systemic bias, right? I try to understand both sides on this topic. I agree with you that we should not assume, but I also respect the idea that accepted norms should be challenged, that we can fall into local minima, that there are many arbitrary social and cultural norms which need be approached from fresh angles. In fact, it is the very basis of mens rights that we together agree that social assumptions should be challenged and that the normal way of thinking is n…

My cousin's girlfriend of 8 years got into a car accident that fucked her up so bad she had steel plates installed in her head. He stuck with her for years of rehabilitation retaining her body, rebuilding their relationship from scratch because she lost so much memory. in our crappy system theres only one other party to hedge your bets. So I'm actually friends with a state rep. I have shared this view with him and we had some good conversations. THIS! Holy shit. I thought I was the only one. I love NPR and I am dyed in blue democrat, but they literally said that just being a woman is a huge advantage in 2018. really? REALLY?! The problem could be quickly solved by instituting a law that made the average sentence for the same crime to be equal across genders. You are describing Affirmative Action. I agree that it is good, but people do hate it and have their reasons.

Historically AA was deemed semi-successful in retrospect. Progress is slow. The EEOC still has an uphill battle - but things are much better off now than when AA was used. In fact, I read recently that being a woman increases your chances of getting hired by 48%! https://talent.works/blog/2018/01/08/the-science-of-the-job-search-part-i-13-data-backed-ways-to-win/ But I feel like this only reinforces my point that some oversight is needed. The premise of affirmative action is this: That all things being equal, discrimination still exists. Two people with identical resumes, equal people skills, and equal everything, where the only difference is skin color and gender - those external factors play a role. So if you accept that premise, that unconscious bias exists (and proponents of AA do have convincing research on this), then the natural question is this: What tools do we have available to combat this persistent bug in our system? …

How about : we give jobs based on merit. I agree with this. I am a proponent of mens rights. But I also believe in Affirmative Action for the simple fact that it does ensure people are being chosen based on merit.

It is sexist and illegal to hire or reject anybody based on gender. I was just speaking to the clickbait style title which makes it sound like hiring women could be the mistake. Affirmative action isn't a point of hiring women. AA is based on research which reveals that given equally qualified candidates, we tend to act on unconscious prejudices. The intent of AA is just to combat prejudice. I don't think equality programs are wrong, and if I did, then I would be a hypocrite to fight for mens ri…

When your SO is hiding something from you, then it causes suspicion. The STD test would not worry me as much as the fact that she felt like she needed to hide it. I would feel the same way if she was hiding her phone every time a text came in. It would cause a mild suspicion in any normal person. I would ask and get clarification as to what the purpose of the test was. If she still felt the need to hide the purpose and didn't want to share, then my suspicion would become a little greater. See ho…

Your statistics are fictional It appears you are right about the statistics. I read a book by Robyn Baker, but after researching it seems her numbers have been debunked. However, It still seems that there is a scientific consensus that there is substantial "extra-pair paternity" out there. getting the test done without confronting the mother with a really nasty and almost certainly baseless accusation isn't "hiding." It's literally none of her business. This is the "I am not lying if I don't men…

This discussion is not about how public or private testing should be. That is just you attempting to put the male back on the chopping block. The real discussion is that men should feel free to DNA test at their discretion, and that is the only conclusion of this topic. It is completely up to the individual to decide to share or not share with his SO, and it is completely unique to the relationship. Maybe the kid has a different skin color? Maybe she has cheated before? Maybe they are in an open…

You continue to push the narrative that this discussion is about private or public testing. I never mentioned announcing testing to a SO. That is your assumption. And now you are drilling down on it because you know you are wrong about the topic at large and are trying to derail from admitting that it is morally permissible to both trust and verify.

It IS fraud if she hid an affair. This is similar to breach of contract. Not only does this make intuitive logical, and even emotional sense, but there is even legal precedence for this since in 21 states, cheating in a marriage is against the law, punishable by a fine or even jail time.

I have mentioned my desire to have my children (I don't have any yet) DNA tested, and have been met time and again, universally, from all different people, of all different sects of life, with tremendous incredulity that I would undermine my relationship like that. That I somehow lack the capacity to trust.

We exist because men like you don't know how to be men like me. I make six figs, I'm never married, and I'm going to Japan for two weeks cause I fucking feel like it. What are you doing? Statistically my dick is 20% bigger than yours, I've had more than three times the number of partners you have, and I make double what you make. solipism: the view or theory that the self is all that can be known to exist. Fascinating! Sounds like the result of fear or trauma - not wanting to reach out. Does that describe this girl? Hell, I think all women have some trauma in them lol. Maybe we all do. But letting that trauma dictate your life philosophy is an act of unintelligence. I think that breakup was good for her. Perhaps the path to escaping ones self is illuminated by the things that slip away from us.

Wow - that was a great read. I do a lot of that stuff naturally. My GF doesn't have power over me, I am particularly strong willed, but it has taken a lot of trauma to get here so I completely understand how men can get bulldozed by women. This resonates with me "Men are the gatekeepers to commitment and we get tired of giving it when we don't get sex." I think last night was the first time I have ever been denied by her in 6 months.
