honestly this could be looked at as either misandry or misogyny. it can be looked at as misandry for the reasons you’ve outlined and it can also be looked at as misogyny because it has to do with how women are valued more for their appearance than men, thus insulting a man’s appearance isn’t as much of an insult to their personhood as insulting a woman’s appearance. i would probably classify it as a misandrist side effect of misogyny

it’s good to point out the areas where feminism fails to be about equality, but saying men in the olden days did not have more of an advantage than women to make scientific discoveries is an absurd claim

did you mean to reply to me? as i said their attempt to overcorrect misogyny isn’t solving it hence why there is still misogyny and now also misandry

yes i have been agreeing the whole time this is all very bad So tell me.. how exactly do we "Move on and try to solve the problem" when one side completely refuses to accept our side of things? genuinely i’m inclined to believe that even just trying to start looking for a solution will get a lot of women to validate men’s concerns more. but to answer the question, let’s think. we know what men say the problem is. we know what women say the problem is. so we try to implement strategies that reduc…

the culture can be equally as potent as the law. my understanding of the situation is that culturally the misogyny situation is dire, while the law is frantically trying to overcorrect. hence why there can be both a big misogyny problem that the law is trying to solve, while also a problem of innocent men getting caught in the crossfire of the attempted solutions fwiw would you actually be comfortable with your daughter going around alone in rural india??

yes this is obvious people are responsible for themselves and false accusations are a problem. (i guess whether or not you think being falsely accused of rape is as bad as getting raped is more of a philosophical problem but that’s probably getting in the weeds). not really sure what you’re disagreeing with here. my point is that i only ever see men complaining that women underestimate their side of the situation and women complaining that men underestimate their side of the situation. it’s the …

appears to have been an unsuccessful one as it was not hard to think of a real answer

as a society, sure. idk what an actionable solution would be within a company without a lot of women. maybe adopting a model of mentoring in small groups instead of 1-on-1 Why should men take the risk? because business mentoring is a normal practice that puts someone at an disadvantage if they aren’t getting it but everyone else is?? but really i reject the question. the situation is unfair for all parties involved and it seems rather unfruitful to get into a back-and-forth of who has it worse a…

did you mean to reply to me? probably to get business from people who think it means they have a better product or people who don’t care but want to feel woke

idk what the solution is but yes it does cost women business opportunities if there is a lack of available woman mentors and males are refusing to do it

i’m saying they’re not necessarily contradictions and the vague nature of them is hard to verify with objective evidence. it’s just anecdotal. anecdotally i don’t see it happening. but whether it’s true or not it makes no difference it’s just too fuzzy of a claim to argue anything with imo

the only case i could see it maybe being reasonable and not patronizing is if you need to get some thing where your options are otherwise identical and around the same price, then sure let’s help the people who maybe had a harder time accomplishing this why not. but i’m inclined to agree generally. despite believing that female privilege exists in some cases i also think a lot of things that look like female privilege initially upon closer inspection are just patronization and thinking lowly of …

there are people who think women are less competent and people who think they are more competent and people who think it doesn’t matter but want to feel woke and people who think it doesn’t matter but want to feel unwoke. good business strategy is often about finding a niche so it’s hard say how much you could extrapolate anything from this to society as a whole

He's got to be a resolute man with a grounded unwavering opinion... But also a feminist. what does opinion strength have to do with what opinion it is lol an easily swayed person could become a feminist or mra or sjw or really anything they happen to hear about since they are easily swayed He's got to care deeply for and protect every woman... Until I'm dating him because he's mine now. someone can have the general urge to be caring and protect others but especially their loved ones, many people…

i think the concept of patriarchy is incorrect in the sense that it (at least connotation-wise) ascribes collective agency to sexism against women and gender roles rather than just viewing it as a situation that society has landed in through factors like individual agency, biology, etc compounding over time. however i don’t think it’s necessarily inaccurate to say “patriarchy exists” in the sense that some aspects of the aforementioned situation persist even if it is mostly resolved. of course s…

yeah although eugenics is still bad. i don’t personally know anyone with very high support needs to know how they feel about their own autism although i recall some people online saying they would rather have it and at least one person being in favor of a hypothetical cure. that’s outside of my realm of experience to have an opinion on though

yeah, the tendency to get carried away (monotropism) can influence you to excel in certain areas. of course you may still need help with daily living. pros and cons. i don’t wish to be neurotypical, i would have an entirely different personality. (disclaimer that this is coming from the perspective of someone with somewhat low support needs)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/24 01:36 AM

i think we should try to act in ways that are logically the most fair. our ability to think rationally is an evolutionary advantage that largely sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. for those interested in non-monogamy, there’s ways to work that out to do it ethically rather than cheating in a relationship that was agreed upon to be monogamous

based on different estimates, autism is at least 40% up to 95% heritable. furthermore, i’m autistic and enjoy being alive, and plan to spawn more grubby little autistic children into the world whether you like it or not
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/24 01:13 AM

depends on the kind of woman, if he wants a woman with low self respect then sure
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/24 01:06 AM

we’re not in the wild though. why should we apply “rules of the jungle” to ourselves when we live in a civilized society with things like paternity tests edit: ftr, i think cheating from either party is one of the worst things you can legally do to someone

i’ve experienced several in my life (usually at the gym) and only one worked. nothing particular about the strategy he just happened to be my exact type (bodybuilder, long hair on head, little hair elsewhere, jewelry) edit: these all happened when i was presenting femininely other edit: in 2 instances a guy chased me down in the parking lot alone after dark. definitely don’t do that. do it in a well lit area with people around so they know you’re not actually a serial killer lol
