Going through a breakup now. 5 years together and engaged. My (ex) gf uses a car that I bought and pay for (It's a Tesla and I also pay for the electricity). She leaves early in the morning and doesn't get home until around 7 (needs to drive, then take subway). We live far in the suburbs. The closest bus is about a 20min walk and comes every 30mins. I work from home and sometimes need to work at night, as well as the day. Her commute time is around 1.5hrs. When she gets home, I always greet her,…

Is it because women are expected to do the childcare or because women do the childcare? Would very much like to see the father breast feed his kid.

Lol. It's the people I've seen having bad trips and screaming that they're dying. I've had bad trips too and there's no way I'd do large amount of shrooms in public.

Stop being self conscious about it. Be confident. That's going to work a lot better.

I'm not talking about the video. He did nothing wrong. I'm talking about some guy laying into a someone at highschool; in response to the person I was replying to. Doesn't matter if they are a chick or dude - if they are on the ground and clearly not wanting to fight anymore, you should try to break it up.

Yeah, if the guy loses his shit and keeps pelting her when they'd given up, I'd be stepping in too. He lost control and would probably thank me later for holding him back. If it's just self defense retaliation, different story.

This has been something I've been thinking about for a while. While I'm male, I couldn't think of any fair way that abortions could be gender equal. What you said, while not completely without it's flaws (requires further discussion) is the most fairest thing I've read about this from my perspective.

Nothing wrong with manspreading, as long as you make room for others when needed! Woman are just as bad. I've seen them just glat out ignore people when the train or bus is near full.

I will find some, and next time I'm discussing it with a feminist, I will bring them up. I'm sure that they will find some other cases where men were in favor though.
/r/MensRights09/11/14 10:56 PM

No it isn't. Ask them why they still call it "feminism" if it's about gender equality. I did, her answer was (paraphrasing here) that because woman are oppressed, giving them more rights makes it equal, I asked her about men's rights, she said that feminism has helped men too. I told her feminism, by definition is woman's rights only, not mens. No, but by highlighting how men are disadvantaged and discriminated against, it supports egalitarianism. I agree. Isn't that word associated with some ol…

I'm not concerntrolling at all. I'm genuinely asking. I Just had a good 3 hour argument with a feminist about this topic and came here looking for answers. My view is egalitarianism. Her view is that feminism is gender equality. I had a lengthy discussion with her about it, and some feminists are going for gender equality. I said to her that it is no longer called feminism then, she claims it is.

My bad, I don't know why I thought it said while at work, not she's at work. But to answer your question if she's giving you indicators of interest, just ask if she wants to hang sometime for coffee or something. If she says yes, then get her contact details.

It may be against your company's policy. If it works out, then it's okay I guess. If it doesn't it's really awkward around the office, and HR can involved if you are fighting in the office and it's disrupting the place. Best to not shit where you eat.

I'm a introvert too dude. Though I'm a few years older and went through it myself. Basically just try having small talk to people, like cashiers. It helps build your confidence and allows you to get better at conversations. After the shyness, I also had to learn how to do small talk and that, it didn't come naturally. Baby steps.

Good choice. I'm hesitant even if I don't know the guy that she's dating. If I do know the guy she is black listed with any sort of sexual/romantic relationship - if anything I'll make her into my wingwoman (and be her wingman for other guys/girls she likes).

Believe me that, I am not invisible to my female friends, nor do they hold me in "high status". Though, even though it's male-female friends, it's more of a male-male relationship with the amount of ripping and giving shit to each other we do. In any case, I do agree that's how it is for some woman (your post), not all woman are like this though.

If it's funny and a good call, just laugh with them. If it's immature or anger provoking, just ignore them - it will show their immaturity and your strength. If they keep at it, embarrass them or something, just don't be too direct to look like your desperate or that they hurt your pride or something, but rather that they are annoying.

Some people are touchy-feely anyway. I said she knows it's making her feel weird. I also said that she probably doesn't know what to do about it, or doesn't understand what the "weird" feeling means. We are making a lot of assumptions about the girl, including her age and maturity level. I'm not saying I'm right, or I'm wrong or that you are right or wrong; like you I'm making assumptions about her in my original comment. I however, will not agree that my original statement is incorrect, based o…

She's young... I don't think she knows what to do or how to act... other than it's making her feel weird. There's not enough info on the situation so you could very well be correct, but I wouldn't agree that what I said was wrong without knowing more info about the situation.

My advice to you is that you're probably coming on too hard. Just be playful, not acting like you want sex or something. It could very well be arousing her, but she may not like it. I'm guessing she's your age or slightly older. In my country, 16 is the legal age of consent. If she is younger, then you can't ask for advice here (I think 18 is the legal age in the USA?). In any case, target older woman, you'll learn more.

Just do small talk first, until you get more confident. Small talk is non-threatening.

Can't agree with this more. I was in the same boat. The feeling never goes away, you just learn to deal with it and get more confident. It's not much, but I went from being too shy to go to the shops alone to picking up girls at the counters (Was a regular customer, so had a good opportunity to create a relationship with them).
