I don’t see it as him being incapable of thinking for himself. He is actually very intelligent and strategic by nature. What stood out to me was not that he sought structured input, but the themes he gravitated toward. That is what made me pause. I think after betrayal it is natural to want control and certainty, but if that instinct is still driving major future decisions, then it may point to wounds that need more processing before we build something permanent. I am less concerned about the to…

That’s fair. I did come across it by looking, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. It was recent and specific enough that it did not feel like a random hypothetical. I completely understand that remarriage and more children carry real risk for a man who has already been through a painful divorce, and I respect wanting strong legal protection. What I am wrestling with is whether some of this is unresolved betrayal trauma shaping future architecture. I don’t say that critically, just honestly. …

I really appreciate this. I think what I’m trying to sort through emotionally is where strong leadership ends and overcorrection begins. I respect prudence. I actually feel more secure with clear terms, boundaries, and legal protection. That part doesn’t scare me. What gives me pause is when it starts to feel intentionally tilted instead of simply structured. I don’t need softness. I don’t need egalitarianism. I just want to feel like we’re building something solid together, not that I’m being p…

I don’t think the tool itself is really the issue. What gives me pause isn’t that he sought input, but the direction of the questions he chose to ask. I actually respect a man who thinks strategically and wants to protect what he builds. I just believe leadership should ultimately feel protective and steady, not engineered or adversarial. If he leads, I want to feel like he genuinely has my best interest in mind, not that he is structuring something to guard against me. That’s the nuance I’m try…

Thank you. This distinction is exactly what I am trying to understand. I respect prudence. Prenup, slow commitment, clear boundaries all make sense to me. I do not want a man who ignores risk. What I am trying to discern is whether intentional structural imbalance before marriage strengthens leadership or quietly signals that he still expects betrayal. I do not feel unsafe. But I do notice that the energy sometimes feels like protection from me rather than protection with me. I want to support h…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
