My husband and I are on different baby timelines. Before my husband and I started trying I asked how many kids he wanted, he said 3 or so. So I mentioned that I would like to be done having kids before 35 and to space out kids adequately we would have to start when we did. And it's good he came around to it quickly because it ended up taking up 11 months the first time and 18 months and four miscarriages the second time. It's great to assume you will conceive easily (and for your sake I hope you do) but if you don't it's so much better to have … | /r/RedPillWives | 10/09/23 07:12 PM
Would you marry a man that didn't make enough to support you?I think instead at looking at what he does now, I would be to asking him if he has plans to advance his career in the future. I like to think of when I met my husband and he wasn't making great money but he had a set plan of how he would provide for us one day and that was good enough for me. I also think people think you need to make big bucks to have a stay at home wife, but I'm a stay at home wife and my husband has a decent part time job and gets a stipend for going to school and that's enou… | /r/RedPillWives | 13/11/20 09:25 PM
I suspect that my boyfriend might be proposing soon (but he also may not be). I'm both elated and absolutely panicking. So I'm pretty straightforward and when it came time to talk about the proposal I asked him what kind of time frame he would want for an engagement/when he would want to get married by and then just politely mentioned that if he wants a longer engagement but wants to be married by the next fall he better get on it. And when it came to rings my now husband was hopeless (I gave him a test by asking him what he would pick out for me if I didn't give him specifics, and wow was it not my style). So I … | /r/RedPillWives | 11/11/20 10:04 PM
Avoiding Burnout?I totally get that. And I've totally been there of feeling out of shape and the house wasn't as clean as I'd like but I had to find motivation to keep me on track. So for cleaning, I want to keep a clean house because a less cluttered environment makes my husband happier and means I don't have to spend that long cleaning since the house is pretty much "reset" before bed. And for exercising, I want to live a long life and aside from things outside my control, diet and exercise can help me achieve… | /r/RedPillWives | 09/11/20 05:56 PM
Avoiding Burnout?I think the easiest thing would be to just schedule your days and weeks better. So for the cleaning aspect, designate each day of the week for a certain task (cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuuming) and each day make sure the counters are clear and a load of laundry gets put on. So in total you're maybe spending 20 or 30 mins a day on that. Look up the clean mama schedule for a better explanation. I would say there's no need to go to the gym since there are so many you could d… | /r/RedPillWives | 09/11/20 05:38 PM
Are my standards too high?I don't think so. But I would say you might want to try online dating and search outside your normal area. I had standards that I was searching for and online allows you to filter by criteria. My now husband fit all the criteria except for the fact that he lived 3 hours away, but he was devoted enough to drive to see me almost every weekend for 2 years until we got married. My online profile also allowed me to showcase my personality a little and if guys read it and weren't interested they would… | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/11/20 05:35 PM
How to afford being a SAHM?Yup, I'm with CHM. It obviously has its downsides like no dental, vision, or preventative visits. But if you're generally healthy you can afford most of those things out of pocket since they would be so infrequent. So for CHM being a Christian is a requirement but I'm pretty sure there are others that have looser guidelines. I'm not sure how they monitor it either but they make you sign a statement of faith (at least that's what chms is called) and if somehow they find that you aren't adhering t… | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/10/20 09:58 PM
How to afford being a SAHM?I had a similar issue with healthcare a little more than a year ago. Ultimately I ended up joining a health sharing program (it's not technically health insurance but works similarly, and I only pay 170/mo). It's not a long term thing but I'm currently pregnant and will be using it for the first time but so far it seems to be pretty comprehensive. To touch on some other points, it sounds like you are in a good place financially. Being a SAHM will also help you learn ways to get a lot of your bil… | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/10/20 09:31 PM
We talked all night, and then he dropped a bomb. All sorts of stuff. Our families, his job/the deployment, our goals, plans for the future, his pets, my schooling, memories. Basically everything I could so I could know he was worth making my husband because at that point I wanted to date to marry. And he obviously said all the right things. | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/05/20 01:20 AM
We talked all night, and then he dropped a bomb. This sounds kind of similar to what happened when I met my husband. When I met him he was about 4 months away from deployment and he told me about a week into talking to him. He lived about 3 hours away from where I was at the time. One thing that helped me was to let him know my expectations (being exclusive) if he wanted to keep me around. I feel like the deployment actually really helped our relationship since all we could do was talk and learn about each other more. One silly thing to do dur… | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/05/20 02:23 PM
Help, in need of advice for online appsI met my husband on match. I think you can get a free week and then after that it's only 27$ for a 3 month subscription (I found my husband in about a month and a half). I liked match because it has a lot of categories to filter by. | /r/RedPillWomen | 12/05/19 12:01 PM
Finances in marriageI manage the finances since my husband brings in the money. We use Mint to budget since it allows an easy view to see if we are in budget for the month. Within the budget we each have spending money and it can be used, saved, or spent on something for the other person. We also have a restaurant category that gets used for our dates. I'm not a gift person so not getting special gifts doesn't bother me and since I'm not currently working I use saved up gift cards to get him things every so often. … | /r/RedPillWives | 14/04/19 01:14 AM
