You're absolutely right and you shouldn't be getting downvoted . It was on R4 yesterday. Not excusing the fact that this poor bloke had 2 years of hell, but it was more a monumental fuck up caused by budgetary reasons within the CPS as opposed to malice. When the evidence DID become available, it was actually the prosecuting barrister who presented the info that led to Liam being cleared. Not a lawyer but would be good if he was able to include the accuser in some sort of private prosecution so …

Absolutely, however, I was simply taking issue with the hyperbolic language originally used, as in, there is no-one in any public space in the whole of Italy that isn't a Muslim / illegal immigrant. It paints a very unfavourable picture of the country that simply isn't true.

You may want to refamiliarise yourself with the definitions of "every" and "filled". EDIT: Have just got back from a summer spent in Florence, Siena, Rome, Pisa and Lake Como and none of these were "filled with African / Muslim illegal migrants" , so I'm confident in the fact that you're wrong and I'm right, but hey, let's not let the truth get in the way of a line designed to shock .

She's evidently not sorry for what she did. The level of fine is probably low enough for her not to care. She needs to do some "time" even if it's just a few nights. I can't imagine there'll be much rehabilitation involved but a bit of humiliation and hardship will do her the world of good.
