A car buying contract is worth more in society. After 35 years, I’ve basically had to start over, emotionally, financially, spiritually, realistically. Never ONCE, in my whole marriage did I think she would file for divorce, not ONCE! 4 years later, still dreaming about her, thinking about her, but Not making excuses for her behavior any longer. In fact, I’m basically amazed how fucking stupid and gullible I was. At 60, the chance of REALLY regaining a true life is probably nil. And that sucks

5 years now....WHEN does it get better? I think you just learn to put up with shit. But 34 years doesn’t get wiped out in just 5 I guess....specially handling it as shitty as I did. I tell you, being on the receiving end, it’s no party. Hardest part? How can a person LOVE and LOATH someone at the same time?

For the life of me, as a victim of divorce, I cannot believe 2 things. 1) that I had built up so much admiration of my wife that I overlooked so many examples of her not loving me...when I look back...I just shake my head. Excuses after excuses of her loathing of me. 2) that I could NOT EVEN IMAGINE the amount of damage she would do in the divorce process. How money hungry she would be in the divorce. Even the fact that she went straight to an attorney as soon as she made the big pronouncement s…

Connecticut is a 50/50 split......supposedly. In my case they took the value of my business ,IF I WERE TO SELL, and looked at it as CASH IN MY POCKET. This so called fight fifty split basically gave her EVERYTHING. The paid off house, card, savings, stocks and bonds, I mea RVERYTHING. I was left with my business only. And now what they valued at 1.5M is worth about 300K..........great huh? Oh.... on top of it......I had to pay alimony of 10k a month for 7 years!!!! On year 4, but it’s sucked me …
