Menopause at 40, yea you clearly know what you're talking about. The only point I was making is that the high autism rates and other problems among older women giving birth is more a function of poor lifestyle throughout their lives, and that age is not the primary factor for such statistics. Hence my assertion that a healthy 40 year old would give birth to a healthier child than an unhealthy 23 year old.

It matters a great deal what is eaten. Diminishing testosterone with age is also a function of diet and lifestyle, with minimal decreases over decades under proper conditions. Population stats are not a reflection of genetic determinism.

No i dont, but i dont trust statistics pertaining to a general population that lives under abnormal conditions to begin with. A modern diet/lifestyle doesnt protect against cellular and genetic degradation and oxidation. I'd like to see fertility statistics for a hunter gatherer population, or celebrities, who have personal trainers and nutritionists, stay hot into their fifties, and tend to have children late in life.

Those are statistics across the population. A forty year old woman who has taken care of herself, exercises daily, eats healthy, and finetuned her epigenitics through such a life, is probably going to produce healthier children than a 23 year old obese sloth. A good metric is whether or not she's attractive. If she's still hot, her fertility is probably still good.
