I'm more confused by the injunction against it. It may be a cultural/ethnic thing, but typically if person A asks person B out to drinks or whatever, the implication is that person A is buying the first round at least.

Most of this is startlingly effective and good advice, but I'm kind of taken aback at how forward you propose becoming (more toward the end there). Granted, I'm very introverted so I could definitely be the weirdo here. I'm also chin-scratching about the insistence on not paying for her drink (at coffee I can understand, but at a bar/secondary location?). Por que?
