So I noticed you’ve chickened out of providing any real examples or real-world scenarios. Lemme explain to you real quick: debates are about proving yourself as much as disproving the opponent. You look like an inexperienced child if you just repeat yourself in thinking that you know all the “facts”. I want to know what you’ve actually tried irl to make you the apparently uncontested “expert” you are today. Additionally, I said everything that needed to be said. It’s not my fault if you aren’t l…

The lines “in contrast to...” asks you, “which do you hear more often/which is embraced by society”. It’s called a priority list, like saying “I wish I could dedicate my life to making music” goes below “I need to have an apartment and food in the fridge”. Not a knock on artists. But it’s a thing we acknowledge, just on the side of things. Also, to take it to the extreme, that’s like saying Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” is all guys. But people would go batshit crazy if I ever opened with that…

Well, good morning everybody. What a start. Basically, you’re trying to fall into the “men always want sex, women hardly ever want it, so men suffer”. I don’t really feel like trying to explain something as basic as the number of possibilities that a woman would consider. So let’s approach from another perspective. I made another reply that lead up to explaining how people come to be guarded when entering relationships, dating or otherwise. But the saying is “if you’re gonna work hard, be smart …

A lot of life is seen as black and white. How could it not? And this might even be a bit hypocritical to say so. But changing your trajectory is as simple (and as difficult) as reframing the way a situation can be perceived. For example: “being a team player” is inarguably a good thing. But how about this: scoping out possible downsides/mistakes/errors is being beneficial to the team. And by extension, suggesting other possible solutions. And off that, criticizing other members’ suggestions. Con…

“Adversity discourages me...” I don’t blame you there. But I believe everyone can find a competitive spirit. If nothing else, finding those few passions/talents can really bring up your confidence, even in friendships. And that’s also true. Not everyone. But the saying is “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. You don’t have to succeed in everything. Just succeed in at least one thing. You’ll carry it for the rest of your life.

There are a lot of smaller “echo” chambers out there. Similar to the way you’ll find “god-fearing country girl, will always defend her man, and ❤️ pro-gun”, you do get circles that place relationships higher on the priority list. Higher than careers, even. Former best friend was one. But like I said, it’s not a male/female problem, it’s a human problem. Those women flaunt it for a reason. They judge other women for it too. I remember when I entered classes, jobs, even just went to the library...…

You know, another dude up there said that this was a dating subreddit. “Purple pill” makes it dubious. “Debate”, by default, makes it a whole other thing. Why is it relevant? Well, I was just going back and forth with another user, and was told that money/social value of a guy is what determines partnership. I think that being broke/having a bad rep would have an effect in the opposite direction, but if it were true... wouldn’t they just work on getting really rich/important? Someone with excess…

So I had an epiphany, as I was trying to connect how my first reply was “women have the same values and insecurities as guys, they want long term partners” and somehow still ended up with this. The way that you constantly connect women with monetary or “quantifiable” value. You think the sexual/relationship respects of life never pervade this mythical space. Let me explain. Suppose, for example, you’re lonely and you work hard but you have no friends. This is a strictly “for example”, I was real…

Okay, since you deliberately “forget” these points, I want this answered first: “now that I have outlined the other perspective of sex, why do you still feel as if sex is a ‘win’ for women?” Additionally, social worth =/= popularity. Popularity is how often people want to be around you. Sexual attraction is how often people will approach in hopes of banging you. Social worth is how other people will think their social value increases upon being around you. See: “hanging around with the wrong cro…

I said answer things in one post, how hard is it. I’m answering this and everything else in your other reply.

Would it kill you to write your fully formed post the first time around? I’m on a phone. Blah blah “I feel invisible, I want to be noticed and have a best friend and a partner” That’s what I’m saying. These things aren’t exclusively women’s problems. That’s a human problem. “I wish I was handsome, smart, and never had to worry about money. I wish I never had any insecurities, and people always thought I was interesting, and my family never picked fights”. I’ll give it to you. But you do realize,…

I said. If that were true. Of non-homosexual people. Every heterosexual relationship thereafter is 1:1. You’d call that mutually beneficial. Cancels out. Also, you really can’t date someone that doesn’t want to be dated. And moreover, dating is not a resource that someone takes away from you. It’s a mutual endeavor. Exactly how you can’t just decide the dream job you want and demand to be hired.

Let’s unpack this. What opens a paid position? I don’t think there is much more, if any, than these scenarios: 1) The position has been recently vacated. This is caused by 1a) promotion of the former employee— in your case, a man— and I think we can all agree this is beneficial, primarily, to the man. No problems here. 1b) the employee has quit, given 2 weeks notice, and all that Jazz. In which case, man or woman, they’d be spectacularly stupid if they did not negotiate and confirm a better job/…

“I am mad that we have unfair laws” “At least a woman that sleeps with the boss is bringing some value that a man can’t” I hate to break it to you, but that’s easily fixable. I’d even commend you if you found evidence of a relationship and went to HR so she could be fired. Has your boss ever said anything of the like? If there is no evidence of the like... Being mad at a hypothetical situation and carrying it into your arguments is called resentment. Also, the fact that you mention “good people”…

Relationships: well, unless there’s an overwhelming number of lesbians, it’d be a 1:1 ratio men and women in said relationships. Attention: this is true. But what person ever said, “I’d be fulfilled if I could get many random strangers to nonstop compliment me (and of course, what else can a stranger remark on except appearances then?) Contrast with “I’d be fulfilled if I could find my soulmate/ best friend” Social care: I need some elaboration on how this is different from attention. Perhaps yo…

If a job is just a tool to get paid, why are you resentful. You’re getting paid less than your boss, so who are you to judge their business decisions? Clearly then, the women know better, so there’s nothing to complain about. That’s all you have to know. Having read the previous paragraph, how do you feel? And also, there’s that little thing called a “promotion”, in which people that are respected to do their job are supposed to earn, which only comes when people trust you to do more and collect…

It’s funny how self-reflection is a trait you don’t think men should have.

There’s a quarantine, and I wrote something original to copy/paste later. If you actually had an objection, I think you’d express it.

I haven’t commented in months. It feels weird to start again, but here I go. As a bisexual (mostly lesbian, you’ll find here) with terrible social skills and all the stereotypical guy nerd upbringing, the thing that sticks out to me most is how emotionally intelligent they are. I guess I’m better than some, if I’m able to point it out today, but have you ever just laid back and chatted just for the sake of it— say, about an hour? With guys, I usually only get so far if we manage to match up on v…
