Dating again! That’s a good list. What do you mean by personal space is a mess? Too clingy? Not clingy enough? | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/08/20 12:55 PM
For those that didn’t experience infidelity issues, when did you know it was time?Same. I did a lot of reflecting and knew that with how things were day to day I wouldn’t be happy in a day, week, month, year, five years, or 30 years down the road. At that point I knew it was time to get the process started. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/20 01:04 PM
Every Friday I try to see the sunrise. This journey is long. The journey is emotionally and physically taxing. Dont give up and fight through the pain. You’re worth it!Keep on keeping on brother. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/20 01:00 PM
Refuse MediationWow. That is out of control. I paid a $2500 retainer for my attorney. It’s been about a month and I’m going to see how the hours have been adding up. Fingers crossed! | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/07/20 01:12 AM
Refuse MediationAll I can say is good luck. We mediated once for $600 and then I received her answers to the divorce via attorney. Worst money I have ever spent. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/07/20 02:01 PM
She is having a bad day so she canceled our Mediation appointment this morning!I feel ya brother. But at least you didn’t have to pay. Here’s my recent story. We went to mediation 1.5 weeks ago. It was amicable, and I paid $600 for two hours at the mediator. We worked out child care, and a few other things. On Monday she went and hired a lawyer. So much for that money. I’m not pissed, it’s just the tuition I paid to learn she is not to be trusted. I hired a lawyer today, and they are already on it. I feel better already. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/07/20 05:44 PM
EnjoymentI was always the person that did the finances. But I got shit almost every day when she would see me spending money on everyday things like lunch. Or a beer at the bar. Last week we split finances, and it feels so GOOD to go out to lunch without the anxious black shadow handing over me of the tongue lashing I would get when I went home from work. And the biggest plus, is I get to genuinely hang out with my two kids. In the past two weeks since filing and mediation, I can see the kids open up and… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/06/20 11:34 PM
Post Covid Filing ExperienceI do know that I can afford the house, once refinanced time give her her part of the equity. She told me she can afford the house, but only after she puts her half of my 401k towards the principal to lower the financed amount. I don’t think it’s fiscally responsible to do that, but I guess it’s her money after that point. We just haven’t decided who wants what yet. We are meeting with the mediator on Monday to see what is what. Thanks for the info! | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/06/20 01:56 PM
Feeling really frustrated with CovidYup. I have been waiting for a month just to file. I went to the courts last week because they said they were opening up. Nope. They were open on the phone so I could make an appointment for next week. And in Michigan, there is a mandatory six month waiting period until it can be finalized. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/06/20 11:28 AM
