Did I ask you to have dinner? I’m paying. Did you suggest we have dinner? You’re probably paying though I’ll probably offer to go Dutch. Am I in a weird situation where there was a fraudulent charge on my card and my bank shut it down and now all I have is the ten bucks in my wallet until I get my new debit card? I’m gonna think about trying to be a Chad and suggest you buy my drink but probably I’m gonna just have my one beer, over tip, and leave even though you just told me you like me (not th…

“In regard to its contraceptive properties, it was referred to in a joking manner in Aristophanes' play Peace (421 BCE). The god Hermes provides the male character Trygaios a female companion; when Trygaios asks if there would be a problem if she became pregnant, Hermes responds, "Not if you add a dose of pennyroyal." In a similar manner, in Aristophanes' comedy Lysistrata, after a pregnant female character on stage is told to withhold her body sexually from her husband, a slender female charact…

Oh, no way? They Live! is one of my all time favorite movies, and was played Doom, etc and Duke Nukem pretty much as soon as they came out in the early ‘90s. I had no idea they were connected, though it seems rather obvious now.

They’re on my watchlist now! Special mention for Gendey Tartakofski’s “Primal”! Just a caveman and his pal T Rex trying to survive!

This is good advice and a really solid post for being so concise! Truth doesn’t need to be shined on!

Look for community sandboxes. Small community theaters are constantly looking for help to include actors and constantly have a pretty wide range of people involved and they come and go with each show so there’s lots of different people. Municipal softball league requires less effort and skill but also has lots of people rotating through with the different teams you’ll meet. Volunteer for neighborhood cleanup or something like that. Take a dance class or join a yoga studio lol.

What your describing feels like some weird over staffed 1960s Mad Men office. He mentions that he's a lawyer, so yeah.

Seems the smart way to go about it. I suppose *brave manly men* throw incendiary 'bombs' only when they're up close and personal in the splash zone, right?

I've been frequenting a drive through coffee hut that employs about 50% HBs. One is very friendly, chatty, makes eye contact. I have come through on occasion with my puppy, and she loves him of course. I have chalked it up to her just overdoing the customer service. Yeah that's what I keep telling myself. Well last week, I finally told her I thought it was unfair she knew my dog's name but not mine, and she agreed! We introduced ourselves, and I forget how I worded it, but she gave me her number…
