Like internet access being a human right. What's wrong with that? We see countries shut off the internet, free and open communication should be a right if we can give it. Imagine if the US copied Chattanooga, and we had municipal ISP's across the country. Competition with corporations, and it would bring good jobs all over the place. I'd much rather pay for that then war for oil and prisons.

Get a dog, or other pets. Our Golden is full of love for anyone who wants it, and no matter my day he makes me happy giving him walks and playing outside. I've never lived alone, I don't know if I'd like it. I have a twin brother, and we've always lived together, it's just easier to split expenses.

Keeping the ingredients simple is an easy first step. For meat, if you get something that is either quick to cook, or kinda already cooked, it can be easier. The first meal I used to cook was barbeque sausage, green beans and rice. Chop up the meat in a pan, use a little olive oil, heat on Medium until it's crispy enough, then add in sauce and stir. I have a rice cooker now, but the Uncle Ben's Minute rice work great in the microwave, same as the microwavable veggies you steam in the bag.

We had limits on it growing up. Two hours of TV time Saturday morning watching cartoons, that went away because we'd rather be outside playing as we got older. I read thousands of books as a kid. That was what I really wanted to do in my free time. We'd play video games and board games as a family. And in my teenage years that's usually what all my friends and I would do.
