Also domestic abuse only quantifies physical violence. Which studies have shown that more often women initiate the violence, but it doesn't include mental and emotional abuse. I think we can all agree women have an overwhelming handle on causing those.

Personally, while I think her choice in feminist viewpoints was weak, it does a great job showing that mens rights is a valuable issue that is way too often ignored. The problem is, how do you get a feminist who isn't up their own ass or has actual replies to logic and data (good or not, it's better than just saying "yeah things happen to men, get over it because things happen to women at this rate") to do an interview like that?

I would never want my son to declare that he would not defend himself from a woman, child, or animal. Also, it may be true that a lot of domestic violence is reported as being from men, but a recent study showed that 60% of all domestic violence is started by women. Also, there is no study to show how often men are emotionally and mentally abused that COULD lead to domestic violence. All in all, while this is an old article, I feel that these are points that need to be raised often and loudly.

I think this is just a case of Dear Amy just skimming an article, seeing the words "sex", "didn't", "want", "to", "is", "this", and "rape" and assuming that she was correct in saying yes. To me, a man is a man. No matter his orientation. If they feel persecuted for being men, then yes. If they feel persecuted for being gay, I don't think the MRM has any responsibility to support or not support them. We aren't a gay rights movement. To be truthful, I always practice on waitresses when I am in a relationship. I see this as keeping my skills sharp, but also making sure I know how good I am at picking up women. Waitresses and Bartenders are almost as difficult as strippers to get on the hook, IMO.
