You need not believe in Jehovah, nor define what god means to you... let's put it that way. As an Alan Watts fan, my oaths were taken on the Bhagavad Gita. You could probably use the Principia Discordia in an open minded lodge. The mythology of the Bible is utilized, however, in ritual.

So is murder killing someone + power? I don't see how power is relevant when people mean to hurt one another. Relatedly, whoever you are I respect you and love you and think whatever you in life is a gift. I do not mean my comments or our disagreements to hurt you. I hope you can offer me the same.

In fact, one could argue that it is a slur, especially since it is almost always used by people outside the group and carries with it the connotation of disrespect and diminution.
