The title said "underrated." Physical attractiveness is not underrated. That is the default measure of attractiveness in society.

You can't really be too sure; maybe she's just being polite.

Are you familiar with a TikTok / YouTube creator called hoe_math? He has a ton of great content and I think his video on evaluating how attractive you are will kind of answer your question.

I think that the people dishing out this advice are basically just virtue signaling. I also think that women who give this advice to others are doing so because of 2 reasons: as backlash to their own lived experience, and because they're not really capable of providing useful advice to others. With regard to the backlash, they have probably internalized the message from society that they need to be someone else in order to be attractive / have value (through makeup, dieting, cosmetic surgery, et…

Take an intro painting class at a local community college, and talk to the girls there.

Hard agree that late teens and 20s are super hard on men in particular! I was super "thirsty" and obsessed with finding a great relationship with a woman all throughout my 20s. Often felt a lot of envy for all the other guys who seemed to fall in and out of relationships. I'd had a couple of relationships but even those always felt like such an uphill battle. At some point things shifted, and after all that desperation and exasperation, eventually found a great partner. Now in my mid-30s, my #1 …

Never knew about that sub until you just mentioned it. Looks like men are forbidden from posting there. But now I'm tempted to lurk... despite the fact that it seems to be filled with awful advice. (For example, some of the top posts right now are things like "Men are not your friends" and "men don't need to be told what you expect from them")

There's no secret sauce. I just kept churning through dates. But I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. In retrospect, I would have loved to read some of the stuff here on seddit back then, because I really felt like I was flying blind every single time. Some of the dates continued to suck, some of them less so. Eventually I happened to go on one with my current girlfriend - let's call her C - and right away C apparently thought I was a very funny guy. I can tell you that I specifically tried …

Yes, I have. Story time: Back when I was still dating (been in a committed relationship now for 2+ years so this was more like 4 years ago) I wasn't having much success. I would go on a lot of first dates but nothing would ever develop from there. Until one girl... let's call her M. I was surprised at how well M and I hit it off on the first date. We ended up talking religion, philosophy, life plans, and a whole bunch of shit I would normally NEVER talk about on a first date... for 4+ hours. It …

The trouble with one person's feedback is that it's totally subjective. While it is possible you might be giving off some universally unacceptable vibe, there's just as likely a chance that the things that one girl doesn't like about you might be things that another girl would like.
