Sorry if there's no LGBT-only shelters where you are, where I am it's very much a thing, publicly funded and all. They work really well. You'd ideally go to the place you felt the safest. Both would allow you. What's wrong with writing what I did? I just added LGBT-only because I'm familiar with the work of shelters as such and it seems to be effective. I don't get it.

How do they not all have PTSD at the very idea of going to the grocery store, or their workplace? Maybe they do. And the domestic setting is not the same as the public setting. This "female victims need to segregate away from men" was invented out of whole cloth. Again, I think women-only, men-only and LGBT-only spaces are all necessary. The hormonal and bodily functions of attraction are obviously biologigical. My point is just that the way our preferences manifest is a product of our conjuncture. We, humans, have surpassed our "natural" and "evolutional" impulses for such a long time, it's basically impossible to claim anything is PURELY biological. I wouldn't concern myself with it. It's a weird pseudo scientific conspiracy theory to create moral panic. Basically saying women are biologically hardwired to choose the best mates (whatever the fuck they want that "mate" to mean on a given discussion). Who that mate is changes depending on who's typing. Well, there's plenty of people who stretch quite a bit what's biological and what's not. I've seen way too many times MRAs saying that women are hardwired biologically to be eugenicists. All terms are made-up, my dude. Hermaphroditism does not exist in humans. Just pseudo-hermaphroditism. The correct medical term is intersex, because then it also included people with no chromosomal abnormalities, that might have ambiguous sexual organs (penis too small, clitoris too big). “Binary” just refers to the western idea of gender. Societies around the world always had non-binary genders. The DSM classified homossexuality as a disease as well untill 2013.

There’s no such thing as “real men”. All men are real men. As all women are real women. The perception or “real” in this context is highly subjective. Every group or person will have a different definition. It’s really hard to define what’s a woman and what’s a men, since that changes from time do time, from culture to culture.
