Maybe how she said it wasn’t nuanced enough? We should teach our about boundaries and to be aware that you might be stepping over the line without realising it. Though there’s a high chance that she was being obtuse. These days I just scroll past these sort of posts. I’ve been unfriended for pushing back on unfair opinions. If someone’s posts seem to be overly hateful, I just unfriend them and leave it at that.

Holding his hand through feelings he won’t share with anyone else. All of it unpaid Got it. Keeping my mental shit to myself, then.

I’m not challenging you, but can you send me links to anything that talks about those statistics?

I’m no one’s ally. Being an ally invites ever-moving goal posts. I’ll do what is right. I’ll call out shitty behaviour. But none of it means I’m an ally

As a person who would unload to people, I learned to keep it to myself instead being seen as the one who always burdens other people. It is what it is. No one wants to hear it. When people complain that men don’t open up - they just want to repeat the internet-assembled catch phrases. They just want a way to blame us for holding it in and making it worse. It’s not holding it in. It’s simply managing our outward image. Other people can’t help us. They can’t even help themselves.

I'm not saying I agree with the concept, I'm just saying the logic does make sense, if you don't care about innocent people being punished. AGAIN, I DO NOT agree with blanket persecution.

Maybe I’m stupid - are you having a go at me?

The logic is that if we don’t worry about false accusations, we can put more actually guilty people in prison. More innocent people end up in prison too, but more guilty people are in prison than there would have been had due process been followed. Like collateral damage.

I do more in a day than that poster does in a month, most likely.

Isn’t she just saying that she use the fact that a man is nerdy, or liberal doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good person? That you still need to look out for shitty behaviour? Maybe she’s using triggering terms, but I understand where she is coming from.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
