5	Boys might read more if we give them books they want to read — The Centre for Male Psychology I run a middle school library, and it is very difficult, almost impossible to find books that are aimed at boys. They like action, adventure, humour, non-fiction and comics. Action/adventure and fantasy books are certainly available, but the protagonist is almost always a female, with a weaker male as a sidekick, or the person to be rescued. I'm just not a poster. Here's a bit about me: I work in a school library, where I totally support the interests of boys. My goal is to keep boys engaged in reading despite the ENORMOUS amount of pro-girl literature that's out there these days.
