Thinking I'm smarter than RP was one of my dumbest moves yet...Not exactly the same, but my fiance comes home at widely different hours, and often can't tell me when he's coming home until he's on his way. Like you, this used to drive me crazy... Where I had to start was identifying what exactly was setting me off: Is it that you can't make plans in advance? Do you need advance plans? Is feeling bad worth having them? Is it that you hate being lonely? How else can you entertain yourself? Use a weekend he can't come over to do/make something that will impres… | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/09/14 01:52 AM
Thinking I'm smarter than RP was one of my dumbest moves yet...Yes, thank you. I've struggled a lot with trust, I think because, to steal your metaphor, I've spent a lot of time with people who aren't too careful around sandcastles, and out of fear I've stubbornly clung to this narrow perspective where everyone is going to hurt me. But I do know that solid sandcastles exist, we have the start of one, and C has given me absolutely zero reason to believe that he's going to catastrophically destroy it. Just because it isn't fully built yet doesn't mean I can't… | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/09/14 01:46 AM
Thinking I'm smarter than RP was one of my dumbest moves yet...Yes! This came up in chat the other day as well. I've been thinking about it as "responding" vs. "reacting" and it's something I'm making a conscious effort to practice. Catching myself and stopping these reactions quicker is a goal for a number of reasons, including that the longer I go on "reacting", the more I tend to get frustrated and angry with myself, which isn't helping anything either. You're probably right that I do trust him at some level, but I could definitely do a better job of act… | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/09/14 01:07 AM
Thinking I'm smarter than RP was one of my dumbest moves yet...I would invite you to share your thoughts about that here, if you're comfortable. I've found that the women in this sub give great advice and guidance. They've already been very helpful in pointing out areas in my life that still need addressing! | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/09/14 01:03 AM
Be his whore.Had to say thanks - My fiance and I have been struggling for a long time to find a term that we felt fit my relationship to him. Your description and 'courtesan' struck a nerve with me; I'll be making that suggestion later tonight. :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/09/14 11:03 PM
Ladies in my attempt to understand my RPW. I was wondering What Meyers Briggs personality are you Ladies? I am a STRONG ENTJ.I spent a few years being proud of the fact that I never scored the same on any of the scales in repeated personality tests, like that somehow made me better than everyone else. A couple of months after I found myself drawn to the RP perspective and began implementing some of the stuff I read here, Myers-Briggs types came up at work. It had been a few years since I'd taken a test, and I was curious if my "unclassifiableness" still held. The experience was radically different than my previous att… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/09/14 10:53 PM
The Red Pill, 1 Year Later: Or How I Went From Obsessed with my Career, And Didn't Need A Man, to Loving Wife and First MateComing out of lurkdom to thank you for this post. I grew up as a nerdy girl too and "knew" by the time I entered high school that I'd be an engineer who was going to change the world. College was a steady march to my goals and everything seemed to be on track until it suddenly wasn't and I felt left with nothing. The process of picking up the pieces taught me a lot about myself and meeting my fiance, C, taught me a lot more. Didn't know anything about RP at the time, but he took the lead I was m… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/09/14 09:00 PM
